Hello fellow Steemians!
It is my great pleasure to announce the winner of 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - South American Saturday. I would like to say huge thank you to all the participants for their great entries. The number of entries yesterday was very good with many high-quality images so it was extremely hard to decide on the winning one. I encourage you to check the entries as they really were all stunning.
You can see all entries and participants in this post: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - South American Saturday week #91 - the absolute winner takes 200 SBD!

It would be great if you can visit their blogs and appreciate their awesome photography skills with some upvotes.
However, the winner is only one and that is for me picture posted by @phortun with the following entry:
Last sun rays of the day penetrating through the mist high up in the Colombian Andes during a beautiful golden hour evening. I took this shot while traveling from Salento to Medellin some 2 months ago.
What a great contribution from @phortun to the photo challenge! I have visited @phortun blog and upvoted his post called Hard Fork 21 coming: what to expect & your thoughts. @phortun amazing entry from Colombia is qualifying for the weekly challenge where it will be competing against the previous and upcoming winners of the week:
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #91 - winner announcement!
@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:
Hiking in Wadi Rum, Jordan. Many people visit Wadi Rum, the most beautiful desert of Jordan, only on a Jeep tour, but there are some beautiful, if hard to find treks. Since my shoes were soaked from a rainy morning in Amman, I decided to go for a walk in my flip-flops, but they broke on the way and I ended up scrambling over these rocks barefoot!
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #91 – winner announcement!
@benfenson Australian Monday entry:
Composite image of a bio luminescent wave crashing on the shores of Nelsons Beach in Jervis Bay and a close-up of the Milky Way core. Both photo's were taken on the same night however the core had risen much higher by the time I managed to capture this wave crashing. The sky is 25 photo's stacked for noise reduction and the foreground is a single image.
@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
The burning sand. Deep calm and colorful sunset at the sandy sunes of Curonian Spit, Lithuania. Humid sea air often causing deep red colors of sunset. Low shooting point to get more unusual composition and final view. Enjoy it!
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #91 - winner announcement!
@vcclothing African Wednesday entry:
Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe is one of the natural world wonders and also the world's biggest waterfall. I took this shot when it was only at 20% water flow, so you could just imagine it at 100% water flow. Such an amazing place to visit.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #91 - winner announcement!
@garielatravels European Thursday entry:
What makes so special this place is not that it's literally on the edge of my country (Romania) and from the peak I could see Ukraine, but the shape of the lake is also my country's shape, which I call a real bliss. :) The Iezer Lake, Maramures, Romania.
7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #91 - winner announcement!
@oldmans North American Friday entry:
This was taken around Easter on our return trip home from a visit to the west side of the Cascade Mountain Range. We are near the small town of Dufur, OR. looking west at Mt Hood. This area is comprised of rolling hills covered in mostly wheat fields. Photos taken by me with a Nikon D3300 and CPL filter with some Lightroom post processing.
The winner of the weekly challenge will be selected by you based on the dollar value of this post and then entered to a monthly and possibly yearly challenge on the way to win the price of 200 SBD in total. You can give @phortun your support by upvoting this winner announcement post.
My next challenge is coming shortly: Asian Sunday. Get your pictures ready! :)
