7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #23 – winner announcement!

@h2odigital Asian Sunday entry:

This is a picture of The Petrona Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They were the tallest building in the world until 2004. I went all the way to the top and it was a good experience, but it was raining and the views weren't that good. However, the view of the building from groundlevel did not disappoint. It is an amazing building!

So many times I go looking for the big, dramatic photos to catch people's attention. But sometimes, the simple photos are my favorite. I took this photo of the Pacific Ocean two weeks ago near just south of the Santa Monica Pier. I love the clean lines of sand, ocean, and sky. It was also a morning where I had a wonderful beach workout so maybe that's what I'm remembering when I look at this photo!

Today’s photo offers amazing view on Indian Ocean. It was taken early in the morning, so sunrise colored sky in beautiful orange. Usually we can see Padar island photos from other perspective, but this one might be even nicer. That is why I like this part of Indonesia so much.
Enjoy!

This is another photo of the pacific ocean taken along the Sea Cliff Drive down near Wollongong, south of Sydney. It was a nice coastal drive down south, and it is especially nice to see strong waves battering the cliffs, making sea mists everywhere along the coastline.

Another great image of yours! Thank you for sharing.

Yes, sad things happens. Due to certain reasons some swans remains here in Lithuania for a winter time, which is actually not so cold at Baltic Sea. But, but. Still happens periods of very cold weather when lakes and rivers just getting frozen and remaining only seacoast. But this seacoast also very icy and have no idea what kind of food this swan is able to find in almost ZERO degrees water

Lets hope this beautiful bird managed to survive (luckily those colder periods not really long)

Enjoy winter sunset scenery!

Beautiful picture! Where to they normally migrate to @axeman? I really hope he survived too.

To the South :D Not sure which countries exactly...

Hoping for the best for the ones that stay behind!

This photo is from my local beach, Curl Curl. It is one of the most beautiful yet dangerous beaches on the Sydney coastline. Swimmers often find themselves caught in rips on Australian beaches and need rescuing by the local lifeguards.

Simply stunning!

The ocean is a whole world, another planet. It is populated by amazing creatures. For us, for people living in a different world, every new encounter with marine life is an incredible miracle and brings a lot of positive emotions. But each time we need to remember that we are only guests in the underwater world and we must be very careful to enter it.

Oh yeah, I am up for it:).....

I took a photo on Tenerife in January this year around town Costlal del Silencio. Weather the day promised a spectacular sunset, but in the end it did not happen. After a previous survey, I found an interesting place with a rock formation that attracted me. Originally I had this place ready for the sunrise, but due to the receding ocean, I did not hesitate and began to try different composition. It took me about 20 photos before the waves came together in the right moment I wanted. I have included the Montaña Roja hill, which is one of the island's monuments.

Amazing click! Thank you so much for your support of this challenge. Glad to see you are settling down well here on Steemit!

One of the most beautiful beaches of Tenerife is Playa de Almaciga. This coast with lots of cliffs and rocks and steep mountains is a stunning location.

For this image I waited until the lights of the town of Almaciga started to shine. The glowing town makes a nice contrast to the dark mountains behind...

Glad to see your beautiful image entering my contest! Truly magnificant.

Sunrise in Atlantic Ocean. This photo was taken at Florida Keys islands. This is a coral cay archipelago located off the southern coast of Florida. Archipelago has more than 1700 islands, howewer mainly very small and unpopulated. 43 of the islands are connected via bridges. In total there are 42 bridges connecting the islands.

Thank you for information about contest! :) I'll post photo

A view of the Indian Ocean after an afternoon storm. The rain stopped just in time to gift us with an awesome sunset with some impressive clouds. I like this shot because it remind me of the sheer power of the elements on this planet.

"How inappropriate to call this planet Earth when it is quite clearly Ocean." ~Arthur C. Clarke

Great image! Love the quote as well.

Thanks Tomas ;)

If the outside is freezing and the water is frozen, this is not a reason not to dive. Ice diving is not easy, but it has its own charm. Earth and sky are changing places. Now the firmament is above you. And light breaks through the meters of ice. It would be fine if it was not so cold))
Ice diving

The ice diving looks like a cool & fun things to experience 😊

It's cold fun))

I am freezing just looking at the image, lol......

When I went to Cuba I learnt how to scuba dive. I say "learnt", in practice I had 10 minutes in a swimming pool and then was thrust at a depth which I'm not sure a beginner should be experiencing! The bad: Not knowing how to deal with tremendous ear pain and needing constant supervision. The good: Spotting this amazing coral formation shaped like a high five!

This is the ideal place for my future house: far from the shore, surrounded by water so I can sleep with the sound of the waves rocking me. But this would be in an ideal life of course :)

Location: Western Australian.

Here's my entry today, Tomas :)

6. broken beach (58)-1.jpg

i captured this image on my last trip in Nusa Penida island, when it still secluded and remote. I love it that when i came there, nobody around. This is broken beach, it got famous as a picturesque destination with their arched tunnel in the cliffs and their blue turquoise sea color.Nowadays more and more tourist coming every year to see this travel destinations.

Fishing at sunset on Maui. I sat and watched this guy fish for quite a while the sun was setting. It was meditative. I'm pretty sure he didn't catch much, but then again maybe that wasn't the point. With the sound of the rolling waves and the beautiful views I was pretty stoked to get this shot.

This beautiful photo was taken in Antarctica, an incleible place that you should visit. This view is of the part of Argentina (Argentina Antarctica) and with the luck that a marine creature appears.

Dophins in the Red Sea, Egypt. Very inteligent animals. They accompanied our boat during our diving trip. Our captain gave us the opportunity to snorkel with them. It was so great. I will never forget.

About

This rock formation along the great ocean road is called "London Bridge". On the day that we toured the great ocean road, this was the last stop on the drive before we headed back into Melbourne. After sitting in a bus for 7 hours it was definitely a nice refreshing view that recharged us for the long drive back into the city.

I am sharing a photo of this rusted tank for the Ocean's category. Why? You can find this tank (and others) on a beach. It's just sitting there in the sand, getting slowly washed away by the water, getting more and more rusty. I think it's quite fascinating. These tanks are there since the war and after the war ended, people just left them there. That's quite a piece of history that you would not expect if you are just thinking of going to swim. The photo is taken at a beach on the island called Culebra. That's a small island just off the coast of Puerto Rico!

This is my photo showing Mother Nature's fury at Angourie, on the New South Wales north coast near Yamba in Australia. This location was the first National Surfing Reserve in New South Wales and is seen as legendary amongst the local surfing community for its superb breaks. No surfers in the ocean on this particular day but there were many on lookers admiring the waves!

Inspired by a Chip Phillips photo from the same location, this is a morning long exposure near the Pistol River, on the Oregon coastline. I love those megaliths on the beach - they look like giant sharks!

Sunset grotto on Praia do Beliche

Another one of my favorite beaches near Sagres in Portugal is Praia do Beliche. And the main reason is this beautiful limestone grotto with two entries. Even though 40 meters high cliffs surround the beach, there are the stairs to get to it, so it is easy to reach.

Cahuita National Park is located along the southern coast of the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. The park was created in 1970 to protect endangered coral reefs and the forest behind the beach. This is photo of heron marching on the beach.

My entry for the photo challenge is a picture I took on our holidays at Sardinia. I took it at" la Maddalena", an archipelago, just 2 kilometres from the northeastern shore of Sardinia. So far, Sardinia is the most beautiful place I have ever been...

White Cliffs of Dover
If you travel from Holland to the UK there's a good option to take the Ferry to Dover. Just before arrival you have an exclusive view at the White Cliffs of Dover. Since this was my third time I did this, I tried to take a whole different photo.

this is a view of the sea of ice in the continent of Antarctica, here is the coldest place in the world, this continent is where life polar bears and penguins and other polar animals.

That is a spectacular photo. I think it's great!...

👍😎

When staying at Phi Phi Island in Thailand, almost everyone takes a long tail boat to see Maya Bay, the famous beach from the Leonardo Di Caprio film, The Beach. It is really beautiful there and the high cliffs contrasting with the deep blue water does make it look like you have just found paradise. Shame you don't get to have it just to yourself as it is a very crowded place.
