Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @ansharphoto:

Saint Nicolas Church in the Evening, Prague. One more telephoto views across Vltava River. This time main subject is St Nicolas Church located in Lesser Town of Prague. This church is so big that it is almost impossible to frame it from short distance. But there are many great views with it from the the distance.

I rewarded @ansharphoto winning entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other entries.

The city of Prague has been covered by numerous tram lines for more than a century.

Go back in time and in your turn travel in the Czech capital as in the 50s, comfortably installed aboard your old tram.
Throughout the stations you can admire, among others, the Republic Square, Wenceslas Square, the National Theater, Národní Avenue and Prague Castle.

Your itinerary is tailor-made and lasts about 30 to 45 minutes.

The large windows of the historic tramways offer a splendid view of the city and its monuments.

What a great entry and recommendation to be featured in today´s edition. Thank you so much!

Thanks Tomas..

Beautiful historic buildings located on the Masaryk Boulevard in the center of the Silesian city of Opava. The decorated orange palace is the official seat of Opavska Lesni, one of the largest forestry companies in the Moravian - Silesian Region.

Charles Bridge, Prague

So it’s easy to become consumed by Prague’s long, complicated history when walking its streets. And there is perhaps no other place in the city that encapsulates that history like the Charles Bridge, a striking work of architecture completed in 1390. The bridge itself is lovely, but it’s the monuments that adorn the bridge that get the most attention.

Vyšehrad acquired its present form in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, mainly thanks to the care of Václav Štulc and Nicholas Karlach's due the demolition of the fortress in 1866. The Baroque, originally Gothic St. Peter and Paul Cathedral was rebuilt into the neo-gothic style and inside at that time he acquired an unusual Art Nouveau decoration. Next to him at the cemetery began to take shape national cemetery of prominent personalities, whose head was built tomb Slavin.

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC. I took this photo from the small bridge to "Slovansky Ostrov". The sun has produced a golden light. In the foreground is the bridge "Most Legii" and in the background the Prague Castle.

Wonderful image! Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas

As i stood on the charles bridge, i sent my long distance lens and this is the view i got in return. The blend of colors in this shot makes it more beautiful and attractive. I will not trade the beauty of prague for anything.

This amazing place is kostnice kutna hora. Interesting, Never Seen skulls house something like this before. It's a very good place for people who interest about history. It's a world heritage site that is beyond words fantastic. I can't think a better way to pay respect to those who perished.

Asides from the castle like buildings and fairylike atmosphere in Prague, one other feature that makes Czech rebublic a place to visit are the locals. They are warm, receptive and kind. A couple of times I missed my way, and the locals were willing to direct me with their ever smiling faces

The famous Astronomical Clock, which for many centuries is one of the symbols of Prague.
These unique watches accurately show the time, date, day of the week. Also on them you can know the position of the Sun, the phases of the moon, the date of church holidays. At the appointed time, the blue leaves opened and the figures of the apostles took turns passing each window. Their faces seemed very strict and edifying. As if the apostle pupils with their severe appearance made us remember the people standing down below about the biblical covenants. But over the idle public an enthusiastic echo was only rolled, people clapped their hands and began to disperse.48717374.jpg!

This view you can have when you walk straight from Masarykova street towards an Old Town Hall in Brno. Old Town Hall doesn’t serve its purpose anymore, nowadays there is an information centre, gallery with a permanent exhibition and the observation tower. From the top of the tower, you can have great view, you should go there for a visit.
Ahoj!

Restaurace Na Růžku, Dobřany.jpg

"A rainbow on the outskirts of Na Růžku Restaurant"

A rainbow on the outskirts of Na Růžku Restaurant. This restaurant offers lunch and dinner, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, the most important thing is that it offers eight types of beer. I could try them all. Its menu is more than all Czech and Mediterranean cuisine. It can be rented for events such as weddings and banquets. It offers an outdoor environment where you can enjoy a barbecue.

Look who I found in Prague, it's a shame we are only allowed to post a single photo, the pond and these amazing individuals made my day in Prague, I observed them and wondered how they lived their life so happily, but then in Prague, everyone is happy

People are waiting for sunrise on the top of the highest mountain in Czech Republic - Snezka. This picture I took at 4:26 am, so you can imagine what time they had to got up to hike there;)

Wow, I had no idea it gets this crowded at that hour.... pretty amazing!

Me too... so I was suprised that there is such a big crowd ;)

Kutná Hora, the city of silver, is rightly called "the treasure box of the country." This is because their wealth helped the development of the Czech Kingdom. The core of the city was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1995, thanks to its historical importance and architectural gems. In the image many wonderful sculptures and in the background the Church of St. James.

I just love that place!

Today the tourists in Prague are delighted by the Dancing House. In 1927, they visited the Arkopolis Palace. It was a modern, multifunctional building with apartments, a café, a theater. It has become a prototype for other similar constructions.
Today, it serves the original purpose.

Plzen the beautiful view.
This cathedral has such beautiful tall stained glass windows, casting colourful light from winter's low sun. The entrance has a large iron gate restricting access. Yet, one can see the great carved wooden pews, ornate pulpit, altar and most of the interior. In comparison the external stonework is simply fashioned.

Buddy how would you find that the pic is not from an original photographer?

Most of the time I get entries from Steemians that are participating regularly and I have checked their credentials. When I am not sure of the image I do perform Google search and/or check the blog of the participant which reveals a lot. If still unsure sometimes then I raise some questions to the participants. I also get a helping hand of others to make sure my blog stays as free of plagiarism as possible.

Thats awesome :)
Respect
