Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @lichgreif:
Did my first trip to Prague a few months ago with a friend. We got tickets for the opera. Unfortunately, we just could stay for a weekend. My favourite photograph I took there is this one, Křižovnické náměstí. Next day we visited Prague Castle. Best regards from Germany, Jana/Lichtgreif

I thank you. When I was alone, I traveled a lot. Now I show my favorite places to my seven-year-old son. And I started in Czech Republic, of course.

Golden wheat fields strongly contrasting with the blue-greish cloudy sky in rural area found outside of the Silesian city of Opava. I took this landscape shot a few days ago during a bike trip around the Silesian countyside.

A statue of Bedřich Smetana, a famous Czech composer (of which I have never heard... but I guess that says more about me and my classical music knowledge). It is located by the Vltava river with the castle magnificently in the background. The statue was finished in 1984.

Krakovec (also Red Castle) is the ruins of a Gothic castle rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau. Today the castle is owned by the Czech Republic, it is made available to the public and its administrator is the National Heritage Institute.

This St. Vitus cathedral is not to be missed -- the building is a superb example of Gothic architecture with excellent details in sculpture, design, and tile work. Inside, the stained glass windows are outstanding, as are the murals, silver memorial and all other decorations.

When you visit Prague, you will visit lot's and lots of cathedrals. St Nicholas Cathedral in the Castle District is my favorite in Prague.
The baroque styling throughout the church are just amazing with outstanding outside view. I love the altar. it's just huge, flamboyant and just lovely. The statues surrounding are larger than life. I do like how certain saints are portrayed as if they are looking down from heaven at us. It's just incredible art.

Masterpiece of Baroque architecture, you will enjoy! Magnificent monumental facade, the dome and the main body are breathtakingly beautiful. The nave is magnificent and the central body of the Church is of incomparable elegance. A must see !!!

As this charming constellation is not exactly the city´s emblem - but most likely merely an (— very attractive as all over decorated with colorful dragon- & butterflies —) industrial chimney :)
.....Yet it has become quite a little ˋsymbol of Kolín´ for us...!....
Sitting ˋenthroned´ in the spotlight we drive by every time we should go to the town — personally I jokingly like to think of it as a ˋlighthouse to guide all (- drunk -) people home :)

Hi Steemians, today I'm posting another picture from my collection. It is old abandoned industrial railway station Nakladove nadrazi Zizkov (Zizkov Freight Train Station) in Prague.
It was built to reduce freight transport through the city center in 1936 but it ceased its formal operations in 2002. In 2013, it was named a National Cultural Monument.

If you like modern art and if you have no time this is good option, lokated just in the centre, its an interesting spining and moving piece of art resembling Kafkas head. It's a representation of the modern art in Prague. Quite authentic statue.

St. Salvator Church is one of two churches in the Klementinum in Old Town. This is in the heart of tourist hell so get there early to beat the masses of gawkers in high season. Church of St. Salvator
