Calling for your personal images from the continent of South America!

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

Good evening everyone,

My 150 SBD 7 World's Continents Photo Challenge for today is short of images. This is quite unusual as it is becoming rather popular among the users with entries reaching 10 images and above on daily basis. As of now, there are only two images entered and little competition would not hurt. This is your chance to get decent rewards and compete for the price totaling 150 SBD for the winner of the whole challenge. So if you do possess some great personal images from South America feel free to participate. Your images to be entered in the original post at the following link: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - South American Saturday week #10 - the absolute winner takes 150 SBD! Do not enter them in this post as they wouldn't be considered for the challenge. At the same time, I am extending the time frame for your entries until 8:00 AM Central European time.

Have a great evening and keep on steeming.

If I can buy a profesional camera I promise to participate in each one of your contest!!!
But for now I would like to know if I can nominate you for a challenge, the point is just to share some black and white photos. It's pretty cool, seven days of beautiful photos :)

I would like to go there

Yeah, people, in general, are really bad at relative size and orientations of things on maps. Pick some geographic subset of things and try and draw it.

Go draw like, the middle east. Or the countries of Africa. Or the US states. or the river you live nearest to. try and draw it from memory.
In general, most people don't just get it a little inaccurate, they just flat out fuck it up. Not even just missing some detail on the exact size or rotation but like, absolutely boning up even basic locations.
It's pretty normal and it's the reason geography bees are the other thing kids do in "bee" format after spelling bees. People generally don't know a lot about geography.

I'm in !

I wish to visit sauth america

For the first time I see such a delightful landscape invention.

this place is very nice... i like this place ..

I'm gonna jump in and say this is a common confusion. I remember when i was 8~10 i had troubles comparing timezones because it seemed logical that the coast of my country (Chile) coincided with the west coast of USA, but then I learned that Chile has the same time zone as New York. And it still confuses me a little when I think about it because it's counter-intuitive. Next one!

wow thats a amazing picture It looks like green water @czechglobalhosts ✍✌

Wow and they are indeed lucky for this contest now :)
