Hi everyone,
If you like beer, you probably know that my homeland, the Czech Republic, is something like the beer capital of the world.

The country produces some of the most popular and renowned beers in the world (such as Pilsner or Budweiser) and it is also known for having by far the world´s highest consumption of beer per capita (some 140 liters or 37 gallons of beer per person annually).
As you can see, we take our beer seriously so it comes as no surprise that there are many important beer events and competitions held in the Czech Republic every year.
The Pivex Gold Cup bottled beer competition is one of the most prestigious and the 26th edition of this famous beer competition took place just a few days ago.

There were 53 different beers from 13 Czech breweries competing in several categories in the contest. If you think Pilsner or Budweiser were the winners, you are wrong. This year´s contest was dominated by Zubr and Litovel, breweries that won most categories including the two most popular – pale lager (won by Zubr Grand) and dark lager (won by Litovel Moravan).

Wow!! Its a great news for me. Because I love beer. As I am very much interested to go your native land, the beautiful land It is a good information for me. Frankly speaking that most of our people do not like one who drinks beer :(

I love beer! Budvar Budweiser and Pilsner Urquell are one of my favorites among Pilsner/Lager type beers!
