"Not all those who wander are lost."

What is your opinion on this interesting quote, my fellow Steemians? Would you say that Mr. Tolkien, author of the iconic fantasy series Lord of the Rings, was right? What was the last time you got lost while traveling and what did it feel like?

Let me know in the comments below, I am looking forward to your stories :)

Have a great start to the new week and Steem on!

You know what? I didn't get loss while traveling but I find myself.
Traveling just gives me satisfaction and relaxes me, so even during traveling my mind starts working more effectively so I love traveling.

Finding oneself through traveling is one of its huge advantages! I am glad to hear you did just that!

Yea i agree with this quato, we can take an example from gypsy who wanders around traveling place to place, it’s not because they are lost cause it’s their way of life but if you ask them or talk with them they have more experience in life cause traveling gives you experience and experience Gives you knowledge and vice versa. Wandering around means finding yourself, destination doesn’t matters but finding ourselves and getting the invaluable experience does. Thanks for sharing this amazing quato.keep it up.

Nicely said! Thank you so much for your input and have a great day. Tomas

Dear Thomas, I start this discussion with Poetry of Lord of the rings.

*All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.*

Look at above. How about meaningful thoughts indeed him. If you want to get best idea to succeed of your life can do sure. All that is gold does not glitter - it's supposed to mean "not all gold glitters" but I'm struggling to see how this can be deduced. Quote must be useful for our life and if can follow and pass it's being good.

Not all those who wander are lost.

I accept this content and sure it's true tell. Thanks for the inspiration @czechglobalhosts.

Some more powerful words in those rhymes! Thanks for giving us more!

If you are really a traveler, you will never be lost, and if you lost you will find a new place and it will also be a new adventure.
Traveling itself is an adventure, so no worries about of being lost etc etc.

yep, there is always a new adventure:)....

;) wrong and forgotten travels always give you adventure.

I am a student and the pressure of study and work is too much for me so i need to do something to divert my mind, I wander around see nature and visit place, i wander not because i want to get lost but because i am lost . Wandering is a beautiful thing and it can teach you many things,be your best friend and show you life and existence. It’s good to wander around without a place in mind cause every road will take you there then.very nice post. Upvoted. Like it 😁

I can relate to that quote a lot. I'm an avid hiker/backpacker and outdoor/adventure photographer. One of my favorite things in the world is exploring a new area.

It's super exciting. Finding that new perspective, standing in a place that may not have been touched by human feet before.. pretty cool.

Here's a really awesome chain of unnamed lakes I found by doing just that (Washington State). The sidehilling and rocky terrain was interesting, made for quite the journey.. and the reward was amazing.

Yep, I think you know very well what the quote is about as you experience it yourself through your adventures. Great job!

I do 100% agree with Mr. Tolkien with his wonderful & deep philosophical words. This is actually so true that those who wander but do not explore the nature; are actually lost. But those go with an intention to explore the place/nature gets information, memories and above all they find a wonderful change in their routine wise life. There is another quote regarding travelling and i would love to share with you Tomas :)

This is a very powerful quato if you deeply can understand what it means, there are not always a one way explanation to all quatos and so doesn’t this one. It’s upto you how you want to interpret it. We humans have been wandering and exploring since the stone age when men and nature were one,that’s how we explored and grew and became what we are today, many explorers created history wandering around finding things, wandering means exploring to me and exploring means human existence .which is based on it.

czechglobalhosts (72) good post boss

its been an exciting adventure for me when traveling, there could be ups and downs but in the end there is hope, the world is too beautiful and challenging experience to get lost.

a very nice post hope your journey pleases friends
@czechglobalh

And even if you are lost, who knows what you may discover on the way that you might never had encountered had you stayed on the well-known path?

It was just something in the way that took my heart and rearranged my insides

Here is my opinion

Scientist too wander in the ocean of hypothesis to make a theory and mist cases they tenda to be lost wandering in discoveries.

Yiu can't just sit. Wander! Yea!! But in meaningful things and never get lost

Powerful quote, Love it. :)

Yes right, Mr Tolkien, author of the iconic fantasy series Lord of the Rings.
The book was published in the third volume of the year in 1954 and 1955.

The Lord of the Rings has been filmed three times, the first as an animated film

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
