One of the hidden treasure of the town of Valencia, Negros Oriental located west of Dumaguete City.
It is highly recommended to visit casaroro falls but with extreme caution for it is not an easy terrain so i took the challenged.
My friend suggested that i have to join a group and hire an experience guide but im out of budget so i decided to travel alone, how poor i am... Hehehe
I borrowed his motorbike and drove from proper dumaguete to valencia for around 40minutes, then i have to walk down 350 steps stairway and endure another 20-30 minutes of trek through a muddy and rugged terrain scattered with boulders of every shape and size all the way to where lies Casaroro Falls.
The whole scenery is worth the trip,It is that sight that will literally soothes you and relieve you of all that exhaustion you endured just to get you to where you are. It is that roar of the 100 feet casaroro falls that calm your soul as you watch the magestic water fall.
Budget for today's adventure 50pesos for gas..
Lesson learned
-bring water
-wear comfortable hiking clothes and expect to be wet so need to bring extra clothes...
-you need buddy or guide for safety
-Check the weather. Don’t risk going when it’s raining hard. Water easily rises, and the valley where the river flows is prone to flash floods.
Amazing views, that waterfall looks to be over 100' tall.
