Trapped!! Why Public/Government monopoly companies f***ing Suck !!

The last week of travelling have been an absolute nightmare, I guess its my fought for being poor ? But seriously, in the last 7 days I have been on 4 planes, 3 trains, 2 buses and a handful of taxi-cabs. On top of that, I lost my luggage, spent 32 hours in an Air-port, was bit by a dog, went to the hospital, rode 3 separate trains, and a bus to finally (as of writing) being trapped in a Baltimore Gray Hound station for another 12 hours before finally catching a ride back home.

The road home from Anarchapulco continues "I know right". Day 7 of the journey continues. If you follow my blog and were wondering where I have been, well, Its been a pretty nightmareish return to comfort. To start off, I
missed my original flight out, because I didn't show up 3 hours early, costing me the ticket price and thanks to @kennyskitchen I actually got a new flight out. Although the timing could not have been more strenuous, the journey began reasonably well, an overnight bus ride from Acapulco to Mexico City in a Luxurious Diamante bus that puts anything I have rode in, in the states to shame, upon arriving at Mexico City airport fresh slept on a nice recliner chair, checking in my bags and flying from Mexico to Dallas was clear sailing, however this is where the journey begins to turn sour.

Because I arrived in Dallas at the very time that a winter wind storm was ravaging the east coast, my plain was delayed and ultimately cancelled. The only way to get home was to fly to the closest east coast spot not experiencing wind, which was Charlotte NC, my plan was to land in Charlotte and take a grayhound bus into Washington DC. However this did not go as planed, after I ordered a non refundable grayhound ticket from NC to DC, scheduled for 1 hour after my (American Airlines) scheduled arrival time I was informed that because of a problem with the crew, our take off would be delayed 1 hour or more, more being the case.

So I landed in Charlotte 2 hours after my (non-refundable) bus departed, and the next flight out to the upper east coast was in 36 hours. So.. I had to sleep in the Charlotte airport.. There was no rental cars, no hotel rooms available, nothing but cold floor, and what ever supplies I could gather up in the airport. In all honesty, the 36 hours went by fast and the morning after was actually really good, I had the chance to have a great lunch paid for by American.

But that was just the beginning of my troubles. Since I was supposed to cover LibertyCon I rushed to DC, only to find out @uoSlavery was kicked out, for being controversial, we're just anarchist, and apparently they resorted to whisper campaigns and outright lies to push the table out. Thankfully I did get to the Marriott on Sunday and landed exclusive interviews with @SterlinLuxan and @Danjohnson which sorta salvaged my trip, but not really. My first day in DC, I was staying in Northern VA, with a friend who's dog bit me, sending me to the hospital to get some sutra-stitches.

After visiting the hospital getting cleaned up and having a nice night of sleep, I went to the gym did yoga, and hopped back on a train from Reston VA, to Silver Spring Md. So that I could get a bus to Baltimore, and then transfer to yet another bus to go home. What could go wrong ?? We'll of course my bus from Silver Spring to Baltimore Station got stuck in traffic causing me to miss my transfer to the bus that would take me home.

So now, I am stuck in this fricking Gray Hound station in Baltimore for 12 more hours, over night, after I have been traveling away from home for essentially like 27 days now. I am confident that this is all for a reason and I have had some of the most interesting and enlightening conversations with people in the process. I have faith that this will work itself out eventually, and although I am not looking forward to sleeping on the cold floor or in the seated position in a stiff chair, this hellacious experience will only make the fruits of this trip, and make returning home to my family and animals that much more rewarding...
