I lost count of times I crossed the border with the USA for travel photography. I live in BC (British Columbia) and still believe it is the most beautiful place on Earth, but there is something magical in Washington State.
Perhaps it's the Baker mountain that reminds me of my beloved Ararat mountain back in my homeland - Armenia. Or maybe it is easier to find beautiful places with no people here in Washington State than in BC.
In any event, wherever I go, I take my two friends with me. My Nissan and my DJI Mavic Air. When you fly a drone, it's like you are there inside the machine reaching out to places otherwise unreachable. That's the central magic. Traveling even 100KM from home to a new place is already rewarding especially if you go to nature and especially to the mountains.
To forget the world you live in the one full of worry and problems is the best part of such travel and bringing the footage of your trip back home is a constant reminder of that disconnect travel you did a while ago.
