If your idea of the perfect Summer is long days at the beach and parties at night, then the Maltese Summer season is just for you.

If the idea of spending long lazy days sunbathing, enjoying barbeques in the evenings or attending a village feast with the locals sound mightily appealing, then you will undoubtedly fall in love with Malta in summer. There is always something happening on the island in summer, so there is no chance of you getting bored or having too much time on your hands.

Benefitting from its position, nestled between Sicily and North Africa, Malta gets its fair share of sizzling temperatures with slightly cooler conditions by a light breeze in the evenings. Expect jazz festivals, beer festivals, music festivals, cinema days, village feasts and so much more while you are on visiting the island of sunshine. Not only do the Maltese celebrate just about anything but we also take it on as a personal challenge to take full advantage of the Summer days.

The hot months open up the festa season with a series of events starting at the end of May going all the way through to September. There is hardly a weekend that goes by without a village celebrating the feast of its patron saint. You will also get the opportunity to taste the Maltese type nougat at the festa – a local delicacy that is very much craved for.

If you like the simpler things in life just bring a towel and set out for a wonderful day at the beach. Ghadira Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha, Golden Bay, Gnejna and Paradise Bay are some of the most renowned spots around the island.

Experience Malta in Summer, by enjoying romantic strolls on the beach by night, fine dining in a restaurant by the sea or diving, snorkeling or boating. The opportunities are infinite!
