Is this the most beautiful Island in Vietnam 🤔🇻🇳

Ha Long Bay is my favourite place to visit in Vietnam, its beautiful landscape made up of thousands of jagged limestone islands.

The limestone islets have taken about 500 million years to form give or take a million 😌. You'll probably agree It was certainly worth the wait!

Hạ Long Bay was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and is continually getting awards for tourism.

You can't believe this place unless you visit for yourself.

My latest trip was in July, my mum and her partner were visiting me here in Vietnam. They were here for 14 days, and we managed to visit most of the top places around Vietnam. I'll be sharing over the days and weeks ahead.

Normally I'm content with a cheap hotel or hostel, but my mum wanted a bit of luxury. So after a google, I found Monkey Island Resort.

Monkey Island Resort

Ha Long is what the area is known as. But Cat Ba island is where most of the tourists land. You can get ferries from Hai Phong or Ha Long City. Takes a couple of hours from Hai Phong on the fast ferry.

Cat Ba Island has many attractions and an abundance of hotels over looking Cat Ba Bay.

From Cat Ba, we jumped on a boat and powered on over to Monkey Island. As you will see from the video above, I managed to follow the boat with the drone. Not advisable BTW. I almost lost the drone!

The resort was peaceful and was a welcome break having been in Saigon for such a long time.

Relaxing by the beach or climbing the mountain in search of monkeys and incredible views, you'll find something to do!

We climbed to the top of the mountain, and as you can see, it was something a wee bit special.

The rooms were nice and affordable. We had a sea facing bungalow. Waking up to the waves crashing on the beach is amazing. There is no better soundtrack.

The food was ok, not amazing, but not bad. Everything is delivered daily to the island. So if you want anything special from the menu, you need to order in advance.

Overall it was an amazing place, with amazing company. Can't wait to go back!
