Hello steemitans, imagine a magical calendar in which each month you had the opportunity of a new trip. Where would you go? I propose some perfect destinations for each month.

January in Patagonia

Through Patagonia, we know an extensive historical region in South America that Argentina and Chile share with the Cordillera de los Andes. Only his name already evokes adventure. It is a land of explorers, of nature and sublime landscapes, of those that dwarf the soul of every traveler. The Perito Moreno glacier, the spectacular Mount Fitz Roy, the end of the world in Ushuaia, or in the Chilean Patagonia, the fabulous Torres del Paine National Park, Pío XI Glacier (or Brüggen) or the Marble and Islets of Lake General chapel Carrera, for example, are some of its most famous places. From November to April - the summer of the southern hemisphere - the climate is milder and easier to travel to this beautiful region.

(It does not matter if we have already lost this site, there are still 11 more, right? lol)

February in Bali

The island of Bali, located in Indonesia, is a Hindu oasis within one of the most Muslim countries in the world. Its nickname is that of "the island of the gods". Although it seems an exaggeration, it is not: temples, rice fields, the Gunung Agung, the sacred volcano that dominates the horizon of the island, the opportunity to dive or relax in paradisiacal beaches, make Bali a perfect destination for travelers they want to escape for a few days of winter in the northern hemisphere.

March in Bergen

Bergen is known as the City of the Fjords. If you like winter landscapes, the second city of Norway will like you. Bergen's best known landmark is its medieval port. It is a beautiful set of wooden houses, rebuilt in the 18th century after the devastating fire that destroyed the city and painted in colors, together with the stone church of Santa María. Currently the main activity is not the fishing that was practiced since 1100, but leisure and tourism. To get a good view of the city and its location you have to climb the funicular that reaches the top of Mount Fløyen.

April in Japan

The Japanese culture promotes festivals and ceremonies throughout the months. So before traveling to Japan it is good to look at the calendar. One of the most popular events in the world is the hanami, the festival of Japan to contemplate flowers. The cherry trees bloom in the middle or end of March, so the best time to see this nature show is in early April.

May in Paris

Paris, one of the most literary cities in the world, has a different face at each time of the year. But there are many who agree that spring gives the best of Paris. The Argentine writer Julio Cortázar, he thought so. He, an eternal lover of the City of Light, loved the city in spring. He could be on the street all day and it was difficult for him to lock himself to read or work. Undoubtedly, the skies of Paris in spring are well worth a trip.

June in Croatia

Stiniva Beach, on the island of Vis, is considered one of the best beaches in the world. And this is already a value to take into account when traveling to Croatia. In addition, from Zadar to Bubrovnik, the beautiful Dalmatian coast gives us indigo waters, national parks, mountains, the occasional World Heritage Site, and a golden light that brightens every kilometer traveled.

July in Provence

What color is Provence? Everyone knows: violet, in a clear tone. Or at least it is when the flower of this plant blooms that extends for a large part of the landscape of the French province. Its medieval villas, like Gordes, a light that dazzles painters like Cézanne or Picasso, or its formidable cheeses, are claims that attract the attention of thousands of travelers who arrive every year. Of course, most during the flowering of lavender in the middle of July to August.

August in Iceland

An island of ice and fire, with volcanoes that take us to the center of the Earth - here Jules Verne imagined it in his famous novel - and which form some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth: impressive waterfalls in Iceland, fjords, hot springs , wild beaches, northern lights. All this and more will give us a trip around Iceland, which lives its best season in summer, from June to August, with almost 24 hours of light.

September in Cappadocia

Cappadocia is a region of Turkey that is located in Central Anatolia and has one of the most amazing landscapes in all of Europe. Here is a group of churches and cities excavated in the rock that are a World Heritage Site. From Göreme we can know the whole region. One of the essential plans is to fly in a balloon to contemplate this landscape with the sunrise. It's like appearing in the landscapes of a fabulous world.

October in Rome

The truth is that any time of year is perfect to visit the Eternal City. But if we have to stay with only one, that would be the autumn of Rome: it is when the chestnut trees on the banks of the Tiber River are dyed ocher and brown. The autumnal light is perfect for walking around Rome and seeing the Coliseum and the Trevi Fountain at sunset. In addition, autumn is the season of artichokes, one of the Roman culinary wonders.

November in Madagascar

Madagascar, in the Indian Ocean, is one of the natural wonders of Africa. The largest island of the continent, was chosen by the pirates to found a utopian country which they called Libertalia in the S. XVII. And they certainly chose well; A tour of Madagascar will show us a natural paradise with perfect beaches and amazing species such as baobab or lemurs.

December in Sydney

Sydney is the urban representative of Australia no matter how much her capital, Canberra. It is a cosmopolitan city that has La Ópera as an icon. In addition to being one of the most beautiful auditoriums in the world, it is, next to the Bay of Sydney, the stage to celebrate one of the first parties for the New Year. Undoubtedly, a great destination to finish a year traveler, or start it.

Time advances at the stroke of the calendar: the days, the weeks and the months mark our routines and also, why not, our trips. And it is that the places change according to the month of the year. The factors vary. It can be the weather, light, which is different in spring or autumn, local festivals, gastronomy, which depending on the time of year is one or another, or, simply, that air tickets are cheaper.

Imagine that you had a sabbatical year, would not you like to fill it with travel? Here you have our proposal of destinations so that you arrive at your best moment. It covers both the northern and southern hemispheres, and cities, nature, monuments and paradisiacal beaches. With this calendar it does not matter that the months pass, right?.
