Your savage lives in a cave and is experiencing absurd first world problems at the moment. At 10:00 am when I'm still trying to sleep due to the cock-a-doodle-dos crowing through my slumber, a man came knocking at my door telling me that they are going to replace my internet connection with fiber. I got up immediately to wear my bra and drink water because it's not every day that I have service guys come over to my place to make me happy, and I'm not used to talking to people lately... it's also not every day I get a proper internet connection in paradise. Did we wake you up? Apparently, I thought. But there's nothing better than having an unlimited internet to start my day, at last! I've been limited to a few youtube browsing a month which lead me to just write and write instead of watching documentaries all day but no worries, I really listened to your open-mic videos.
I don't know if the arrival of my unlimited internet would be a good thing since I have been used to having everything limited. It means I'm used to spending less time on my computer, watching the sunset, reading books, and writing more. And of course, it's up to me to control myself and not let the internet control me right? My little desk here is looking like a business space now, with the landline phone right there which I could use to talk to the local agencies I need to be working with. Mind you, if you get to choose a simple life in the lagoon, your happiness becomes really shallow. The fiber internet is pure joy for me.
Since I live close to nature, my neighbors have these game peace busters squawking past midnight, crowing at 2:00 AM then off, then on again at 3:00 AM then off, then on again at 4:00 AM then off, then on again at 8:00 AM then off, then on again at 10:00 AM. Every fucking day - yes a nightmare! I lived in a city all my life and I didn't have to deal with nature problems (only massive industrial noise), and because they are roosters – dismiss my complaints. Fine, it's not really their fault. During my first days here when I came back from my travels, I was really going crazy. I went to talk nicely with the neighbors about placing their lovely pets a bit far instead of caging and slaving them right in front of my place. I was met by this really defensive guy telling me to fuck-off and that I'm just a new cat in town. Oooops ok, sorry! Later I found out that he's a cop and everyone hates him.
Now with my internet, it means I have to live here a bit longer until I could get my project going and that I have to deal with my lovely neighbor's crowing kids. I tried my best to sound-proof my place and listen to white noise but I still hear them at midnight that sometimes I want to shoot them (with my squirt gun), not the roosters though. I don't know if staying here longer and suppressing my emotion would make me a better person.
It's cheaper to live in a cave of course as you get to minimize waste and live a peaceful, minimalist life. And it teaches you how to be patient too.
In the past couple of years being a nomadic person, it means I lived in hostels, other people's houses, and tiny apartments. I never really have to deal with owning my own stuff and now, even having a few stuff gives me headaches. I really hate having "things" - it just makes me scared and cautious. I'm that typical crazy cat lady at the moment and since my relationship with my cop neighbor has been tainted, I now have to deal with little home problems alone. Right after the internet guys left, my new oven toaster was on fire as I was toasting bread for my breakfast. I panicked and was about to get the fire extinguisher but luckily the fire was just small and I managed to blow it off. Sometimes I just want to cry for what all of this is worth.
If I compare myself to the really less privileged or those who have nothing, wow, I feel lucky. I have all the disadvantages in life in many ways and no, I would not take all the blame anymore. There are just things beyond my control and I have accepted that. Anyway, so much for my first-world problems, I hope all of you would get to appreciate what you have - loved ones, silent pets, silent partner, safe oven toaster and unlimited internet.
I was smiling while reading about your natural alarm clocks. I was reminded of when I would visit my grandparents in the mountains outside of Homs in Wadi Al Nasara in Syria. They lived in a village all the way at the top of a hill and if it wasn't the roosters, it was dogs, or the cows, or some other farm animal that would make me curse my existence from being woken up multiple times a night lool.. I am glad your able to find the humor in a very annoying situation and hopefully you will get some sleep soon. You seem to have a very adventerous life and I will follow you so that I can live vicariously through your free spirited travels and adventures.

Since they are animals we can't blame them haha.
Yeah, it's hard to adjust at the beginning but I got used to it now... I can sleep now thanks. I will check out your posts soon! :)

The posts of @sarahabed (at least those about the Kurds I read and downvoted) are transparent syrian-style propaganda, she distorts, leaves out and manipulates facts to fit her agenda. Her posts are full of half-truths with the clear intent to deceive and to blame certain groups of people.
If someone knows little about this topic and then reads her posts, afterwards this person will know even less. She is far from being a reputable source. It's transparent for those who know something about the conflicts in the Middle East. She shouldn't think that everybody here is so ignorant, stupid or gullible not to see through her deceptions.
Could some older posts of her be of better quality? Maybe those which are more about ISIS and other islamist terrorist groups, or about the coverage of the Syrian Civil War by the western media? Who knows, but having read some of her shitposts about Kurds I'm skeptical and won't waste more time.
@ronahi did good work to refute some of her BS in this post.
If you don't believe @ronahi or me how biased and manipulative her writings are, maybe you believe @likedeeler or @openparadigm who made comments to that post.
If you want to learn more about, say, the Syrian Kurds, better have a look at material which is of higher quality and more neutral, e.g. start with this article and look at the sources and links within. If you take enough time to inform yourself using multiple sources (this is not done in a few hours), I'm sure you also will see through the deceptions of @sarahabed.

keep doing what you are doing. There is one particular “steemian” who has gained a lot of power as a witness and I have seen him basically find every anti politically motivated post on here. I’m disgusted by him. If I mention his name I’ll get flagged. Wish I had 100,000SP to shut that guy down.

Thanks @bloom ! Her shit content smells of propaganda bullshit under the guise of an independent journalist.

@bloom is the best if I had 50,000 SP I would be there right along side him. Because he doesn’t post often he can’t be flagged. I see right through her and her “witness”buddy. He is the biggest funder on steemit.

I have no roosters, but I'm surrounded by barking dogs. Both sides and above me... All I can do is play music really loud to drown them out.
With unlimited internet, you'll be able to play lots of music to drown out the roosters!

Hmmm but are the dogs barking really early in the morning?
Yeah, I would probably do that now. 😊

Literally 24 hours a day, depending on if my neighbors are at work or out for the evening... I'm not really a "dog person" and my neighbors haven't changed that at all.

Oh, Evilone, you do crack me up! And always the friggin cops! Even in paradise...
Yup, they put in the fibre this year in Vancouver and there are cops everywhere here, too!
No roosters where I live, though, but here's one from one of my fave 90's bands:

It alway nice when you get the Internet again but is so hard to limit your time. Make sure you still get out. I found it really hard at first but make sure I get out a least for couple of hours at the weekend. After works its tricky with the weather but I still do.
I am finding activities around me now so won't have the temptations.
Cockerel are bloody noises I used to live near one so glad when I moved. I did get used to it after a while though and actually missed it when I moved haha. In the place I am now I get woken but horses riding past my house but it around 7 so not too bad :)

Hmmm I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has problems with animal noise. I'll probably miss these cockerels someday too haha.
I'll try my best to go out and be always on my computer.
