For anyone interested in Japanese Motorsports I recommend traveling an hour south of Tokyo by bullet train to Hamamatsu In Shizuoka Prefecture!
Hamamatsu is the home city of Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha! All three giant manufacturers have their head offices in Hamamatsu. Yamaha and Suzuki also have company museums in the city which have a lot of classic cars and bikes on display as well as English language tours and guides.
Also Kawaii and Roland (as well as Yamaha) have their head offices in Hamamatsu. These musical instrument manufacturers all combined in one city have caused Hamamatsu to be dubbed 'the city of music' within Japan.
Aside from all that the food is great, the people are friendly, and hotels are reasonably priced compared to Tokyo and other bigger cities. Also the nearby Hamana Lake is famous for its Onsen (Natural Hot Spring Baths).
Come to visit Hamamastu for a unique and off the beaten path Japanese travel experience!
