Here are some facts that will shock you and beyond our thinking and expectations. These facts are interesting and educative.

  1. Some Russians School Teachers gets paid in Vodka. Teachers in Central Russia received their monthly salaries in Vodka because the government’s coffers were empty. Hope I get a visa to Russia soon….LOL

  2. You can’t make an excuse in a place called Megion in Western Siberia because the Mayor has banned “making excuses” there. So surprising!!

  3. In Russia, you can’t drive a dirty car because it is a crime. Hidden away in Russian’s driving laws it is declared that a dirty car is illegal and it is finable.

  4. Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Atlanta, USA remains the busiest passenger Airport in the world in 2015 bringing in more than 100 million passengers. Statistics shows that planes take off and lands at the airport every 20 seconds.

  5. There are countries in the world without military forces. Countries such as; Andorra, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Kiribati, Liechtenstein, Marshall Island, Mauritius, Vatican City, Vanuatu, San Marino. One wonders how they handle threats over there.

  6. Plane manufacturer, Airbus believes that planes in 2050 will be made of panoramic windows. Such stunning windows will make for 360- degrees views of the world’s wonder and attraction.

  7. When you look into the night sky, you are looking back in time. The stars we see in the sky are very far away from us, so far that the star light we see has taken a long time to travel across space to reach our eyes. This means we are experiencing how they look in the past. For example, the bright Star Vega is relatively close to us at 25 light years away so the light we see left the star 25 years ago.

  8. Before the word 'selfie' became popular among today's generation, Buzz Aldrin took one in 1966 in space. So maybe you girls should show him some respect.

  11. You are little richer than you might think. Inside all of us is around 0.2 milligram of gold, most of which is in our blood. Sadly, you need the blood of about 40000 people to collect enough gold to make one 8g coin.

  12. You are taller in the morning than in the evening. When you crawl out of bed in the morning you are at your tallest. On an average you are about one and half inch taller when you wake in the morning, thanks to excess fluid between your spinal discs because while sleeping the disc replenish.

  13. Your body produces enough heat in only thirty minutes to boil a half- gallon of water. The Human body produces heat from all that is going on- exercises, food metabolization, maintaining homeostasis- as you sweat, exhale, excrete, urinate.

  14. Did you know? The three richest families in the world have more wealth than the total combined wealth of 48 poor countries.

To put #7 in more perspective, light travels 186,000 miles per second in space. The closest star to earth is Proxima Centaur and it takes over 4 years for it's light to reach earth.

What i need to do if i know all these facts? Not shocked at all.

Very interesting. One thing I noticed, from travelling, Vatican City is protected by the Italian Army. So, bullet 5 is still correct, but not telling the whole story.

Yes, the city does not have its own force, but protected by the Italian Army.

If it's grey goose vodka I m lining up for Russian teachers job right away.

The principle should be alright, the measurement is probably way off. I mean one and a half inch is around 5cm. It's too big of a difference. 1-2cm are ok.

edit: Just watched a man measuring himself all day long... the difference is lower than 2cm. He says avg shrinkage is ~0.7 inches.

Very interesting post. A dirty car is a crime in Russia? Wow

Russia has some very interesting ways about them:). Always wanted to visit for the lesson in culture and the unique architecture.
