The Beautiful North East India: A Visit to some places in Meghalaya

The North Eastern part of India now consists of Eight states, viz., Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim. I am from Assam and I am a nature lover. I feel proud to be a part of some shear naturally beautiful places.

In North East, Meghalaya and its capital city Shillong is very famous among the tourists from different parts of India and other countries as well. Shillong is situated at a very beautiful hilltop. Shillong Peak is the highest point where one can witness the beauty of the hole of the City and its surroundings.

There are a lot of waterfalls in Meghalaya and they offer very scenic photographic opportunities.

The landscapes during the journey from Shillong to Charrapunji are very charming with layers of hills. The cloudy and foggy environment provide a very magical touch to the already beautiful sceneries.

Elephant fall( in Shillong), Seven Sisters fall (on the way to Cherrapunji) and the waterfall at Cherrapunji (the wettest place on Earth) are a notable one.

Dauki, is situated at the India-Bangldesh border and the river at Dauki is also a very clean and beautiful (with transparent clear water bed). I have not been to Dauki but one can spot the Indo-Bangladesh border from near Cherrapunji as seen in the following photograph (at the far distance):

The enjoyment has no human boundary:
