Sunset in Mahabalipuram, light and colors in full drama!

Beautiful Sunsets

We took a trip to Mahabalipuram, a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO, around five years back. Actually, I went to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai for a small diagnostic arthroscopic knee surgery and after I got discharged from hospital, the followung day we travelled to Pondicherry, via the scenic East Coast Road (ECR). On our way back to Chennai, we stopped at Mahabalipuram for a quick round. I am sharing some photos to show the sunset drama.

I am avoiding other photos as all of them has human element. I hope the pictures will be appreciated.

Art by clouds changes every moment.

Simply waiting and second or changing your position by a few steps can lead to awesome new drama.

Nice travel

Yes, it is a very good place to visit. It has elements of art, sculpture, history, mythology and full of natural beauty.

These photos are one of the niciest images, that I saw. This makes me feel like being in holidays. The colors are great. Thanks for sharing, great post.

Thank you so very much for your appreciation.

I love this place and have shared many of my photos from here. So much art and history in this fishing colony.

Yes, this place is full of artforms like stone sculptures. The tale a Pandavas are scripted on stone sculptures which are not only historic but also great forms of art (as well as science). Thanks for commenting.

And this is one of my favorites. I have many more of the artists here. 100_6841.jpg

Yes, beautiful.

Do you know this foundry? I also went to the Italian and Indian artist's place.

No, I went there only for around two hours. And that too in the year 2012. Did not have enough time to explore the place fully. I will visit some time in future again.

You must the next time. So much history and current activity here.

Yes, surely. Actually, many places in India are so rich in historical, cultural and mythological assets. But, sadly, many of them still don't get proper recognition. And some the places need preservation as well. Many old artforms are also seem to be on the verge of extinction.

Your photos are really good. I hope you share more.

Thanks very much for your kind words of appreciation. I will surely share more photos soon.

Good. I look forward to more. I am looking at your blog entries now.

What CMS are you interested in? I work for a University in Canada. We are in the process of purchasing a new CMS. I have worked with and supported 5 in my career so far.

. Let me know what you think.

I am not an expert or trained in web development. I learnt some use of WordPress, Drupal, Joomla etc. Recently I have been trying out Microweber and ProcessWire.

I host WordPress and have some experience there. I mostly focus on user experience and CSS. I support about 300 users in our CMS.

That's cool. WordPress is very user friendly too.

It is. I want to go to Assam next. I have met many lovely people from Assam. I am interested in where you are from. I have a few friends from there.
