Bir-Billing in Himachal Pradesh is the best site for paragliding in India also known as the paragliding capital of India.
With numerous adventure sports agencies run by locals available there, you can go solo or with an experienced pilot. Known for nation and international paragliding events, it is also home to tibetian refugee settlement and monasteries.
It is quite close to the nearest airport at Dharamshala, its worth a visit for the beautiful scenery and adventure sports alike!
And while you are there you can also pay a visit to the Dalai Lama in his residence in Dharamshala!!!
