Travelling home - Paris day 3

in travel •  8 years ago

As I am sat here waiting for the train to depart so I can get into my lovely comfy bed I am reflecting on everything that has happened over the last few days. Early mornings and late nights... Sort of. Whilst this wasn't the trip I imagined I did have some fun.
Today we visited The Palace of Versailles. We didn't go in as it was too expensive but the gardens were open for free and these were amazing. The statues that were present were so detailed and extravagant. The view from the garden simple exquisite and beautiful, I didn't think they would be this great but they proved me wrong. We didn't spend much time here as my friend was getting bored... She didn't really want to do a lot so we ended being at the train station at about 1pm even though we didn't have to be there until around 6ish for check in.
The final day of our trip didn't exactly go how I thought it would have done and it was quite boring to be perfectly honest and I was getting very agitated and annoyed with my friend. It hadn't been the best trip of all because she wasn't as excited about the trip as I was and wasn't very happy to be at Disney. I mean it's Disney, I know it was the Paris version but who isn't happy at Disney?
Overall I think I would have enjoyed the trip a lot more if I had taken someone else with me, I don't mean to be mean towards my friend but I felt as though she took control of the trip herself and just relied on me for the use of Google maps to get us places.
Overall I enjoyed parts of the trip and tried to enjoy Disney as much as possible without thinking about my friend, I wish I could go back in time and make some decisions differently but at least I know now.
The train has just left Kings Cross Station so with just under an before I arrive at my destination with my mum meeting I am going to try and catch up with some uni work I haven't been able to do. I hope you enjoyed these 3 little blogs and will continue to read about adventures whilst at university as well.
