Should I Stay Or should I Go?!

enter image description here

We should have done the final signing for our new renovation in France on the 15th December having signed the Compromis de vente back in September, but the vendor hadn't provided a vital bit of paperwork so we are now due to sign this coming Wednesday!!

We were returning to England briefly for Christmas anyway to see our families, but unfortunately my partners father had become quite ill so we needed to extend our stay in England to hopefully help him through the worst of it. Which , fingers crossed we have managed to do.

This 6 or so weeks though, have gone very slowly and pushed are relationship to the edge. We have both tried to get some work , but finances are very very tight and it has felt like we have not been singing off the same sheet as we are going through very different emotions . It has also not been easy sofa surfing back at parents and no longer having a base of our own back at what used to be home.
Its all been really unsettling. I don't feel my life is here any more or at least not at the moment.

Now we have a date to sign as all the paperwork is in place I don't want to defer it any longer, so I am planning to go on my own and wait for him to come in a few weeks.

I keep getting moments of excitement remembering what it was all about , but then drop back into this months gloom and don't want it to cause more rifts between me and him .
I am just not sure I can stay here any longer and worried if I don't go soon we won't get ourselves back there at all .

Hopefully my next update will be from France !

Interesting blog so far. It's challenging trying to speak French. I've been working in Montreal 10 months and I'm finally starting to sound ... not like an idiot, just in basic interactions. They say France is much more difficult for English speakers.

Enchanté :-)

it is harder than i thought it would be , but I do enjoy it. 10 months is good going . I was thinking in about a year I should be doing pretty well

Keep believing! Sometimes it's hard and you just have to push through, but I hope you transition to your new home and all goes as well as possible. I'm looking forward to your posts. Welcome to Steemit. :)

Thank you, jumping on ferry tonight . Feeling a bit apprehensive , but looking forward to getting back there.

Dans pas très longtemps, vous allez pouvoir me répondre en Français ;-) Bonne installation.

merci, je suis d'accord!!
