We just passed the half way mark of 2019! I figured this would be a great time for me to highlight some of my favorite photos I've taken on my adventures so far this year. As well as the story behind them.
- Minturn, Colorado
I rung in the New Year in Colorado for 2019. I took this long exposure of the town of Minturn, near Vail. Minturn serves as my home base when I'm in Colorado. This was the beginning of what would be a long and snowy Winter.
- Colorado National Monument.
In the end of January I visited Colorado National Monument. I really wanted to photograph Independence Monument in fresh snow. Luckily for me, it snowed the night before. I headed up that evening with my friend Donovan and shot this photo of Independence Monument with Grand Junction in the background.
- Denver, Colorado
I took this photo on an evening in April while exploring Denver, Colorado with a friend of mine. Not sure why I like it so much, but here it is.
- Rifle Falls State Park, Colorado
Took this photo in Rifle Falls State Park the day before heading to Utah to start a National Park road trip with a friend. It may look lush, green and warm, but it was actually snowing on and off all day. It was a quite cold late April day.
- Moab, Utah
This was taken on the way to Moab on the first day of our National Park road trip. Just love how expansive the landscape looks in this one. Desert in front, snow capped mountains in back.
- Canyonlands National Park
Taken during sunset, above Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park. Probably one of my favorite sunsets of our entire road trip.
- Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park
The final stop on our National Park road trip. Black Canyon of the Gunnison was a big surprise for me. As one of the deepest canyons in the United States, it was quite impressive.
- Minca, Colombia
I visited the town of Minca on the north coast of Colombia. We hiked to a fresh waterfall in the rainforest and I snapped this shot.
- South Miami Beach, Florida
After my two weeks in Colombia. I flew to Fort Lauderdale and stayed in South Beach Miami for a couple nights. I enjoyed this beautiful sunset on the beach one evening.
- Anna Maria Island, Florida
Another Florida beach sunset, this time on the west coast of Florida.
- Fremont Pass, Colorado
Took this one of flowers with snowcapped mountains in the background last week, while hiking with a friend on Fremont Pass. I just love the contrast between Summer and Winter in this photo.
