HAUS DES MEERES, VIENNA - experience we never had before!

Last December we went to Vienna on their Christmas market which turned out average. That is why we decided to go to aqua zoo to have some fun! We were expecting to see at least one steemit whale there since they have so much aquatic beings, but no, we didn't see any.

Haus des Meeres is a public aquarium in Vienna, Austria. It has more than ten thousand aquatic beings on an area of around 4,000 square meters. The building was made in World War II and is over 150 feet tall with 11 foot thick walls. It has a lot to offer, especially because you have a cafe bar on the top of the building with a great view!

We were very surprised when we saw tropical room with free.roaming birds, monkeys and turtles. It was like walking through the wild! Since it was already dark outside bats were flying around our heads all the time, but unfortunatelly too fast for my camera...

We kind of felt awful for waking up the monkeys..

Although all the animals were great on their own way, we weren't satisfied. All we wanted was to see a steemit whale, even through the glass, just to ask one of them to follow us on steemit. Unfortunately, no. Haus des Meeres is not that trendy..
But then we saw turtles mating! Still better thing than seeing a whale on steemit! :)
