The Royal Kew Kitchens

Next little bit of the Kew Gardens grounds, taking you with me to the royal kitchens. The building was open for visitors but most of it was pretty empty, only a few items were left/survived to show what the place looked like in 1818 when it was last used.

My imagination runs wild in old houses, even though this one was almost empty. I can still imagine how the kitchen was ran with great precision and care. I wonder how many people worked in the kitchen and service staff, I imagine they needed quite a lot of people to take care of the needs of the royals on their summer refuge from the city.

Shot with the Nikon D7200 and Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8.

These are great! Fantastic location and fun use of light.

Great photos. The place really is full of history.

I've been hankering for pheasant all day and now you do this to me! of all the teases you have perpetrated! I have one month and two days yet until the season.

I'm wondering if the house was so beautiful itself or if it's the merit of your photography skills. I have a feeling it's a bit of both.
I agree, old houses are amazing to get lost in...
