Sunset & Drinks

Having drinks at the Hilton Sky Bar in Hua Hin and watching the sun disappear behind the mountains.

Well actually we arrived when the sun had already gone and you can't even see it because the rooftop terrace points north, but you get the gist.

It was interesting to watch the town from above, to see all the colourful houses and wonder over the fact that all the tiny streets seem to disappear from this angle.

Shot with the Nikon D7200 and Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G.

Perfect shot!

what a sight to behold,,am sure you had fun drinking while taking this lovely pictures...they are pretty cool

I did, and they make really strong drinks here! :D

The place is so relaxing and so romantic.

Beautiful pictures! What a view! It is great having a decent camera. I finally bought a mirrorless camera. It's unbelievable how much better photos look than when taken with a phone.

I have almost stopped using the camera on my phone because it just can't do as much as a DSLR.

I had a cheap phone with an awful camera, which led me to buy my Sony a6000 for trip to San Francisco a few months ago. A few weeks ago I bought a new phone with a better camera, thinking I would use that as well, but I've barely used the phone for that at all.

Damn, thai people really love their colors, all the houses in my city are either white, or whitish

They do, and I'm sure there are no regulations here for house colours like we have in some places in Finland :D

There are house colours regulations!! The government really likes to get involved in everything!

Oh yes, nothing can be done without intensive and slow paperwork.

Not true. In routine cases, government paperwork in Finland is largely automated and highly efficient. For example, you get your tax returns prefilled. The Tax Administration calculates many of the deductions on your behalf. For example, when we received rental income from our former home once, the Tax Administration had automatically deduced my wife's student loan interest payments from her part of the income. We'd probably had forgotten about those had it not been done automatically on her behalf. Unbelievably good service. Pretty much all government services are on the Internet.

I'm sure there are invasive regulations in some sectors but to say that nothing can be done without intensive and slow paperwork is clearly mistaken.

in the afternoons I prefer FAT bastard Merlot as it is sourced from selected vineyards throughout the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The area is known for its rocky terrain, which naturally limits the results and gives fresh character and fruit forward and grows ripe tannins into the final wine .

Wish you an awesome Women's day ;)

Oh it was women’s day, I didn’t know, thanks I guess.

Really enjoying your posts from your trip to Thailand! The colours, so much colour everywhere, beautiful. Thanks :)

I’m glad to hear that! :) Even on a cloudier day, like today, there is so much colour in here.

Nice pictures... loved them

nice picture

That is such a tempting place to have a drink. By the way, what is that you are drinking?

You said “we arrived”. Who is your travel partner?

My bodyguard/driver/guide :)

Gorgeous setting for an evening! Usually that time just after sunset is pretty awesome on it's own, works so well in these shots! Looks like a pretty incredible place to visit!

Eso se ve delicioso...
