Most of us grew up in ordinary courtyards of high-rise buildings, and even in adulthood, courtyard spaces remain an integral part of our lives. And if good associations from childhood have been preserved, then ordinary Russian courtyards of paneles and Khrushchev-era become lamp aesthetics for us. Someone, on the contrary, hates all this greyness and wretchedness of courtyards and houses. I can't do that! How can you not love this if we live in it. This is our home and if we do not have the opportunity to choose the best, then we need to love and keep what we have. It’s a pity, not everyone succeeds and I understand that. Not so long ago I myself began to perceive the surrounding reality in a completely different way.
Almost in any microdistrict of Vologda there are panel houses. Frankly, I did not even expect to see so many of them here.
If you remove the trees, you get such Norilsk!
This is only one microdistrict and even a small part of it. And there are just a lot of such places!
Park and river Evkovka. I like this place. The city of Vologda itself is very flat, there are almost no elevation differences that add a considerable share of colorite and atmosphere. And here there is a slight difference in height and it immediately attracted me.
As for me, I need to study the city for a very long time in order to capture its atmosphere. Or I need to be able to really feel the space.
I’ve already learned how to do this a little, but still it doesn’t always work right away.
But I already know in which direction to move. To obtain truly worthwhile and valuable photographs, you need not only many years of photography experience, but also the experience of seeing and feeling the place. The further I move, the more metaphysics.
There is a difficulty in that it is not enough to see, you must also be able to convey.
This also needs to be learned.
The Shogrash River never freezes, as it has warm drains. City rivers are like open sewage. But I still kindly perceive them as part of the city landscape.
I like any place in the world, probably because I like living.
These are great! What lens do you use? You seem to get a lot of light out of very dark scenes!
