The river is the source of life

in travel •  7 years ago

We will make a short respite from travel and stroll along the bank of the Sukhona River in the city of Veliky Ustyug at sunset.

Life is boiling on the shore.

Most people are fishing.

But there are those who came to bathe in the warm evening.

And the sun goes lower.

Someone is slowly returning from the river.

And someone is begun the evening bite of a fish!

Boats continually scurry back and forth. Movement as in the center of the city!

And after themselves leave waves and a ripple on water.

Go ahead. People does not become less.

Even in the air above the river there are people!

The river attracts people, gathers together, unites common interests and problems.

The river is the source of life!

Water has always been a cradle of life and civilizations where built on it's shores. Love how that setting sun puts a path on the water to illustrate it. Great photos.

Thank you!

I like the sunset. The sun like a cheese in the sky.

Nice pic!

Thanks!

So peaceful! Love it!

When I saw the pics, it reminded me Prince Of Tides by Pat Conroy. The late writer was brilliant with Southern literature. So many rivers inside lol.

These are beyond stunning @evildeathcore. My favourite is the first one. 😌
