Vostroe

Vostroe is a village in the Nyuksensky District of the Vologda Region, located on the Sukhona River.

The village is on a steep turn of the river, similar to Opoki. Even the name matches. Also on the river at the turn site there is a steep bank, but a slightly different shape and composition.

The soil here is more sandy than in the Opoks, so the shore is crumbling. The pillars are formed from the roots of trees that hold the ground.

A steep bank is only in one place. The rest of the coast is more gentle.

On the shore of Sukhona are fishermen.

The ferry carries the timber carrier from the other shore.

Here the ferry has already moored, now the truck will leave from it and will take away a wood on a sawmill.

A storm is approaching the village. Life goes on as usual.

On the shore of Sukhona is an abandoned village club.

But the kindergarten is working.
In general, in the village of Vostroe, there is a positive situation: the roads are good, the population is plentiful, and it's a stone's throw to the big road!

Such a sharp turn still makes the river in the village of Poldarsa, but this is a separate topic for the story.

The remaining turns on the river are not so steep and unremarkable.
