Tips on traveling to Cabo San Lucas

in travel •  7 years ago

We made a trip down to Cabo San Lucas for four days, three nights. We stayed at the Riu Santa Fe (all inclusive), which was really awesome! It costs a little more, but I highly recommend the "All Inclusive" route. The flight started at Tijuana Airport (TJI) via the Cross Border Express (CBX) Terminal in San Diego, CA. We didnt really have that good of an experience at the CBX Terminal or TJI Airport (partly because we had to go all the way home to get Ewa's passport), but mostly because its a really poorly run means of transportation at TJI.
However, I HIGHLY recommend Cabo San Lucas to anyone that's looking to get away for a few days.
The flight was $200 round trip from TJI, the Hotel was $175/night, and about $200 in parking, CBX fees, and Taxis in Cabo, plus what ever you spend while in Cabo on gifts and tours.
I don't recommend this trip to someone that's looking to hike/explore the town/or not hang out around a lot of people. Cabo is a party town, and does a really good job at being a party town. If relaxing somewhere with not a lot of young party-people is your style, I'd recommend somewhere like Kauai, HI, or Palm Springs, CA.
