Hidden beauty

in travel •  7 years ago

I know many people who are depressed or sad because they don't have enough money or time to travel. They dream about far and exotic destinations. And, when they realise they might never visit them then they are angry or sad. I think they are all wrong! If you like to travel, if the whole experience of traveling is making you happy, if discovering new things excites you then you shouldn't let anything stand on your way. You can't visit Paris, so what? You can go to a nearby town or village that you haven't visited before, you can go for a walk using a path you have never used before, there are so many great things around us that we don't even notice while we are dreaming about popular destinations. Create your own popular destination, believe me, you will be surprised with secret places you will find.

My family and I decided to visit two villages near my hometown Krusevac. They are aboth less then hour away, but we have never been there, in fact we have only recently found out they exist. I cannot describe how shocked wewere with the beauty we discovered!

RAKEZICI

First village is called - Rakezici. That is an ethno village, cosy and hidden from the main road. From the moment you leave the main highway you have to drive for 15 minutes in order to get to the village. I enjoyed every minute of driving, wonderful nature around you, peace, people drinking coffee in their yards, beautiful houses, so charming!

Well, as always, I just had to take a picture of the sky! How nice!

Hidden paths - the only thing you can hear are birds singing

And, we arrived! Amazing! Nice, peaceful, quite, relaxing - I cannot find enough words to describe you how wonderful it is! Of course, there is no wi-fi, not even a phone signal, so if you want to get away from urban, chaotic, fast life - this is a perfect place!

I could stay here forever enjoying this magnificent view

Beutiful details on the houses

PLES

A few days after visiting this ethno village, my family and I went to see one more ethno village that is nearby. It is called Ples.

Wooden bridge - not really that safe... :D

I was so happy to discover all these beautiful villages that are practically in the neighbourhood. My family and I didn't travel anywhere together for a long time, so we decided not to be sad because of it, it is important that we are together and we can have great time anywhere - even if we ,,travel'' for 15 minutes, when you find something this beautiful it really doesn't matter whether you are in Paris or in Rakezici, the purpose of the travel is not visiting popular places, for us it is discovering and learning something new!

It's beautiful! I love the feeling to discover a new place, especially when it's calm and mostly untouched! :)

Thanks. :-) Me too, I was so shocked when I realized how nice it is when everything is so quiet and calm, I am now aware how stressfull it is to live in a big, crowdy and noisy town and we just get used to it, we don't even think about whether that constant stress is good for us. Everyone should go on a short vacation like this. :-)

amazing

Thanks! :-) It's amazing how many beautiful things we don't even notice because we always want something popular, something that most people do...

such a great idea dear, i read the post as if you are talking about me so i decided to take your idea into consideration and i will make it for sure and i will create my own popular destination thank you dear.

Thank you so much, I am glad I inspired someone. :-) We are the ones who should create our own little magical world, without looking at others. So, do whatever makes you happy. :-)

Well I totally agree with you. We can at least explore our own country or even our own city to find some amazing places. We just have to go out and leave behind all the messy life...
