There Is A Special Bond Between a Mahout And His Elephant

In Thailand there is no other bond any closer than that of a Mahout and his Elephant. Often a young boy receives his elephant as a baby and the two grow up together. It is not uncommon to see them sleeping together and nothing is more important to a young lad than the care of his elephant.

OMG it's like Hercules and his Pegasus. That's the reason for that perfect bond that they have, they care each other because they grow together..

Yes in the jungle they still have this relationship. In the city I'm not sure.

It's so perfect, maybe in the city they can't conserve this tradition. Are you there in Thailand ? Hope I can travel there someday and see this with my own eyes.

waaaw i will visit Thanland ; Ilove Thanland

Great info, thank you. Do yo know how many years does elephants live

I'm not sure about sleeping with the Elephant, from experience any animal rolls in it's sleep and when that beast rolls you are going to get more then a dead arm!
