The Lotus or "Water Herb (水芝)" is considered a flower of good luck. The lotus is also one of the oldest plants used for medicine according Chinese liturature. It is talked about in the book, "The Divine Farmer's Herb-Root Classic." This is the oldest Chinese book on herbs. Every part of the Locus plant is used in Chinese medicine.
