Scuba Diving The Philippine Islands

in travel •  7 years ago

One of our favorite activities is scuba diving, and we have gone diving in the Philippines on several occasions. Enjoy our photograph highlights with a photo tour of scuba.

Scuba Diving on remote Islands is for every age group.

Scuba diving near Balicasag Island is a very popular location, and a good dive for beginners.

Having a good boat and crew is key to a great dive. Take time to research and ask questions.

Some dive locations are more remote than others. Malapascua Island in the Visayan Sea.

Initial view Southern Leyte Coast and our scuba boats docked for the next dive.

Snorkeling in the warm emerald waters of the Visayas and taking advantage of the shallow water gardens.

Underwater wildlife outside of the Island of Cebu.

Our first family dive in the Philippines.

Having a great time after the last dive for the day.

All good things come to an end.

After a hard week of scuba diving some great entertainment closes out the week nicely.

People in my country are always helpful particularly to the tourists. You only have to get someone who knows the ins and outs of the places you visit. Go go go!

I love diving in the Philippines as its some of the friendliest waters I've been in. If you get a chance try night glow/fluo diving there. A few places offer it but easiet to BYO your own glow diving gear. Can check out some of my past posts to see how things look under this light.

Have you tried the swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob, Cebu? It´s one of the attractions there... I haven´t been in my home city the last 35 years and haven´t tried to swimm with the sharks ... hopefully I´d do that when I have the chance.
