Scuba Divers Paradise

The Philippines is made up of more than 7000 spectacular tropical islands. Each of these beautiful islands are surrounded by crystal clear warm water, just beckoning you to join in the exploration. The water in the Philippines is the bluest of blue. It is so blue, it is almost magical. The flora is fascinating and it's beauty mind-blowing.  The coral-reefs are vast and diverse, with many different kinds. The Philippines are blessed to have a great variety of coral-reefs.  For the adventure diver, this is a beautiful haven filled with many underwater adventures, just waiting to happen.

A Bed Of Worm Fish

Who knows what you may see? There are so many species of fish in these waters, there will never be two day exactly the same.

More Mysteries Of The Sea

Alluring And Beautiful

The Philippines is home to huge array of sea creatures. The Scorpion Fish, Emperor Fish, and Barracuda are all extremely  distinct and unique. The Bat Fish, the Tuna, the Moorish idol are seen on most dives, as well as the Flute-mouth. These are some of the most beautiful of these more common fish.  Some of the ones that are often seen, but not always around are the Octopus, Squid, Mantis Shrimp, and the Trumpet Fish.  The Unicorn Fish is really one of the uniquest and rarest, and you also might see a Lion Fish, a Parrot Fish, and a Trigger Fish. These are all uniquely beautiful. There are also many different kinds of Sharks, and Rays.  Two of the most popular are the Thresher Shark and the Hammerhead Shark. These are only a few of the most often encountered. Another well loved fish in this sea is the Pygmy Sea Horse. Many stories exist about this little one of the deep blue sea.

The time of waiting is long past. Let's grab our backpacks, passport, and gear. It is time to go diving in the Philippines.

Those coral reefs are so amazing. One of the stories about the Pygmy Sea Horse is that they live on the same coral all their life. I'm not sure if this is true of the entire species, but this alone makes them extremely interesting. Great pictures.

Thank you @knowledge1.

Beautiful down there! Any sea snakes or other dangerous animals that divers need to be aware of when going diving?

@nzfxtrader, you always want to know what's around you. Diving is safe, but we must be aware of our surroundings.

Beautiful underwater, hope someday you can come to my country, Aceh, Indonesia. Paradise of underwater :)

@kakilasak, Indonesia is beautiful and there is good diving there.

Gorgeous,

I used to scuba dive when I was a boy - open see scuba diving. Always loved it. Haven't done it for... wait - how long ago?... doesn't matter.

It's quite and calm down there - perfect for an introvert. Even thou - there are noises - if one just listens carefully.
