The Old City Of Jerrusalem

The Beautiful Old City Of Jerusalem

This amazing  Old City is an area of less than six miles.  The walled area is within the modern city of Jerusalem.  Notice how dense the city is and how many synagogues, mosques, and churches are within the walls. This is truly a city of neighborhoods, where the neighborhood or quarter centers around the houses of worship. It is a walking city, where few drive to the Synagogue, Cathedral, or Mosque.

While in the Christian quarter, be sure to check out the Muristan and Aftimos Markets. You will locate them near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. The area is full of colorful shops, local restaurants, many different churches with fascinating building architecture.  You will also find the Butchers Market and the Painters Market near by.

The Old City Of Jersusalem is one of the most intense and amazing areas on earth. It is the heart beat of three major world religions. Here is the center of the Jewish, Islamic, and Christian religions.  Within the walled city is the Western Wall or the Wailing Wall. This is the last remaining wall of the temple. The Western Wall is the holiest place in the world for Jews. This is a city you will not want to miss.

I went to Jerusalem several years ago. I loved it. Something about the city I can't explain with words. I experienced the presence of GOD there and I would love to go there again.

Yes, there is so much culture, beauty, and God's presence.
