Blog #1 🇻🇳 "Traveling in Vietnam" 🇻🇳

January 2017 is one of my most important memories. I decided to listen to my best friend and go to Vietnam with him. It definitely made us become closer friends than we were and developed a stronger bond through the hardships and joy of traveling. I'm more of a European building sightseer, prefer to get a beer with the locals and experiencing the local markets, but going to Vietnam with @whynotdoit has opened up my admiration for the beauty of nature. We had some difficulties with our differences in preferences but we found solutions to it all and had a lot of discussions about the future.

2017년 1월이 나에게 가장 중요한 기억들중에 하나이다. 베프의 말을 듣고 베트남으로 같이 여행 가기로 했다. 여행하면서 경험 하는 다툼, 여행의 피곤함과 어려움, 그리고 여행의 기쁨들을 통해 매우 더 친한 친구가 되면서 더 강한 믿음이 생겼다. 저는 원래 동남아에 별로 관심이 없고 유럽의 건축을 구경하거나 시장 구경과 시장 시세 공부 그리고 로컬들과 맥주 한잔 하는 것을 즐긴다. 하지만 @whynotdoit 과 같이 베트남에 갔더니 자연의 아름다움의 매력을 느끼며 감탄하기 시작했다. 서로 주 관심사가 달라서 다투기도 하고 힘들었지만 서로 이해하고 합의도 보며 미래의 대한 토론을 했다.

This is the photo we took at Incheon International Airport. We woke up at 5:00 A.M. in order to get ready, eat breakfast, and catch the first train to Incheon International Airport. It was very tough due to staying up late to play Warcraft: Hero War. The excitement of going to Vietnam got us up to get ready to go to the airport.

인천 공항에 도착하면서 찍은 사진이다. 매우 피곤했었다. 지하철 첫차를 타기 위해 오전 5:00에 일어나서 준비하며 간단한 아침을 밖에서 먹었다. 하지만 아침에 일어나는데 매우 고생을 했다. 전날 밤에 늦게까지 워크레프트: 히어로 워라는 게임을 하면서 베트남에 기쁨을 쏟아 부었다. 다행이도 베트남에 갈 기대감과 기쁨 덕에 제시간에 공항에 도착할수가 있었다.

This is a view of Hoan Kiem Lake. Arguably the most beautiful gathering place and scenery I've seen throughout my travels. The positive moods really lighten up your spirits. People gather and enjoy music from street performers, random people gather in a circle to play hacky sack, and some just meet with their friends to enjoy some street food or ice cream.

여기는 호안 키엠 호수다. 따저보자면 제가 여행을 다닌 곳들 중에 제일 아름다운 호수이다. 저녁 시간이 되면 도로에 차가 없고 사람들이 긍정적인 바이브를 뽐네며 호수에 모인다. 어느 사람들은 길거리 연주자들의 음악을 즐기고 있고, 모르는 사람들끼리 헤키 섹 같은 게임을 하러 모이고, 어느 사람들은 친구들과 만나 길거리 음식과 아이스크림을 즐겨 먹는다.

There was a grandpa and his granddaughter performing in front of Hoan Kiem Lake. Although it seemed as though the granddaughter was screaming with the mic close to her mouth; however, it was a beautiful sight to see. The beautiful time that the grandpa and granddaughter were spending together touched my heart. I told a Vietnamese friend that I thought it was a beautiful sight to see and she said that they come out often and are famous there.

호수 앞에서 어느 할아버지와 손녀가 연주하고 있었다. 솔직하게 말하자면 손녀가 마이크를 입에 가까이대서 소리를 지르는 것 같으기도했다. 하지만 아름다웠다. 할아버지와 손녀가 같이 아름다운 시간을 즐기는 것에 내 눈과 마음은 반했다. 베트남 친구에게 사진 찍은 것을 보여주며 아름답다고 설명하니 이 호수에서 매우 유명하고 자주 연주하러 나온다고 하였다.

I forgot the name of this church but I believe it's the most famous church in Hanoi. @hanggggbeeee what's the name of this church?

이 교회 이름을 깜빡했는데 아마도 하노이에서는 재일 유명한 교회일 것이다. @hanggggbeeee 이 교회 이름은 무었입니까?

This is street food that my friend and I enjoyed in Hanoi with delicious Hanoi Beer. Hanoi Beer is definitely in my Top 10 best beers. It's very cheap plus VERY delicious. The street food while walking around beer street is something I'm willing to book a flight ticket back for. The vibe all around is positive and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.

이것은 하노이 맥주 도로에서 볼수있는 길거리 음식중에 하나이다. 베프와 같이 매우 즐겨 먹고 하노이 맥주고 즐겨 마셨다. 하노이 맥주를 직접 먹어본 결과로는 재일 좋아하는 맥주 10가지 중에 하나이다. 맛만 비교하면 탑텐에는 들어오지 못하지만 가격도 고려해서 너무나도 맛있었다. 이 맥주 도로에서 즐기수있는 음식과 문화만으로도 하노이에 가는 비행기표를 다시 예약하고 싶다. 바이브가 전체적으로 긍정적이고 모두들이 즐기는 것 같았다.

This is also a delicious street food called "Bahn Mi" (I think) and it is probably the most repeatedly eaten street food during our stay in Vietnam. After going back to South Korea, I noticed that there were a few Bahn Mi stores and even some in America and Canada. Although, they sell the "same" Bahn Mi, they can't even come close to the actual price and taste of the original Vietnamese Bahn Mi.

이것도 길거리 음식이다, 반미라고 한다. 반미가 아마도 베트남에 있는동안에 재일 많이 먹은 길거리 음식인 것 같다. 한국으로 돌아간 뒤에 반미 음식점들이 몇가지가 있었다. 미국과 케나다에도 있었다. 같은 반미를 판다고 해도 절대로 베트남의 오리지날 반미 맛과 가격을 따라갈수가 없다고 생각했다.

Okay so I forgot who this was... but my friend, Jin, explained who he was to me before.. hmmm.. I'm pretty sure he was someone important. I'll need to remember the next time I go to Vietnam since I wish to live there for at least two years and study the language (just the speaking part).

이 동상이 누구인지 깜빡했다.. 베프가 유명한 분이라고 누군지 설명해줬는데 기억이 안난다... 베트남에 돌아가고 싶고 대화가능 할 정도로 언어도 공부하고 싶은데 다음에는 꼭 기억을 해야겠다..

I have so many fond memories during my stay in Vietnam. It was the complete opposite of what I had experienced while traveling through 🇺🇸 USA🇺🇸 , 🇨🇦 Canada🇨🇦 , 🇮🇹 Italy🇮🇹 , 🇬🇷 Greece🇬🇷 , 🇰🇷 South Korea🇰🇷 , 🇷🇺 Russia🇷🇺 , and 🇨🇳 China🇨🇳 . Maybe it's just me, or maybe I just got lucky hanging out with the locals, but one thing is certain, they all seemed to just want to enjoy their time and that's what I found beautiful about Vietnam. It didn't matter if someone from another country has more money, it's about finding friendship and leaving positive memories to reminisce upon. I'll be back Vietnam!

베트남에 있는 동안에 너무나도 좋은 기억들이 많았다. 제가 여행해본 🇺🇸 미국🇺🇸 , 🇨🇦 케나다🇨🇦 , 🇮🇹 이테리🇮🇹 , 🇬🇷 그리스🇬🇷 , 🇰🇷 대한민국🇰🇷 , 🇷🇺 러시아🇷🇺 , 그리고 🇨🇳 중국🇨🇳 와는 매우 달랐다. 저만의 경험일수도 있고 베트남 사람들과 운이 좋았을수도 있다. 하지만 하나는 확실하다, 모두들 자기 시간을 즐기려 하는 모습이 베트남의 아름다움인거 같았다. 다른 나라에서 왔다고 돈이 더 많다고가 중요하지 않았다. 새로운 친구관계를 나누고 긍정적인 기억들을 아름답게 담아노으는 것이 중요했다. 다시 돌아간다, 베트남!
