Here are some useful tips for travelers going to Dubrovnik, the city where a lot of Game of Thrones footage was shot.
City bus tickets cost 12 kunas if you buy them from news kiosks (Tisak), but they cost 15 kunas if you buy them from the driver. You can also buy 24h cards for 30 kunas from Libertas kiosks, but most of them close early (around 17:00 or 17:30).
You may already know, inter-city bus tickets are cheaper if you buy them online at GetByBus. You can also pay after boarding the bus if not all tickets have been sold, but it’s usually more expensive and not all drivers are allowed to sell tickets on board.
When going from Dubrovnik to Split, left seats have a better view.
When buying inter-city bus tickets, you can pay extra for a seat. Otherwise, a seat will either be randomly assigned to you or you will be allowed to sit anywhere in the free seating area (for Flixbus). The free seating area is any seat marked by a green sticker.
If your flight is from Madrid, left seats have more chances to see the Old Town view of Dubrovink.
