Dubai seen from inside

in travel •  7 years ago

Hello, everybody! Today I want to talk to you about the overrated Dubai. I am from Romania,a developing country, which is not very expensive.Last year my parents proposed me to go in Dubai for New Year's Eve. I was very happy when I heard and with every day I got more and more excited, because I was expecting to see only exotic cars on street. But,it's not like that,on the streets I've seen cars like in any other big city.Even in Bucharest we have cars like I've seen in Dubai.I was expecting that everything in shops is very expensive, but I was very surprised when I've seen that a pack of ciggaretes and a lighter are about two euros.

Anyway the next day I got over my fetish about cars because I was amazed about the buildings. In my entire life I haven't seen such buildings. It's not enough that they are very tall, they have a very weird look.I mean they have even a spiral building.

They have The Jumeirah Beach Hotel that takes all the skyline when you pass by it and there is the only place where I've seen 2 or 3 exotic cars.

And of course everybody heard about Burj al Arab the 7 stars hotel that is the third tallest hotel in the world Despite its size, Burj Al Arab holds only 28 double-storey floors which accommodate 202 bedroom suites. The smallest suite occupies an area of 169 m^2, the largest covers 780 m^2.The Royal Suite, billed at US$24,000 per night, is listed at number 12 on World's 15 most expensive hotel suites compiled by CNN Go in 2012.

And the icing on the cake is Burj Khalifa, the megatall skyscraper with a height of 829.8m.

You see,the most amazing thing about these buildings is that they are build on sand, which is a very hard thing, they need a very good groundwork.Another stunning objective in Dubai are the fountains that moves on the rythm of music and a song is played every 30 minutes in front of Burj Khalifa.

The thing that amazed me the most was that they have a ski slope inside a mall.I knew about this before arriving, but I was expecting something very small, but it wasn't.It is pretty big,it has even a chairlift.

This is what I needed to tell you about Dubai. I hope you've enjoyed my post. Here is a picture of me inside Burj Khalifa:
