Anaconda hunting in the Amazon

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey guys this pic was taken when i was cruising around South America in 2011, me (in the middle with a cap on) and a mate flew from La Paz to a little town called Rurrenabaquue which is a gateway in to the Amazon Jungle on a plane the size of the Spruce Moose (Simpsons reference i have plenty) from there we headed off in to the jungle on a motorised canoe for 3 days in the wild. Its one of the favourite little tours ive done, id always been fascinated by the jungle as a kid and to be cruising down it was pretty surreal. This pic was taken searching the jungle for Anacondas, we didnt find any and no one was attacked by anything so that was cool but just being out there was a crazy experience and one of the reasons i love to travel, hope you all get to check it out some time. Where is the craziest place you guys have been?

LOL this is the problem with white people, us islanders will never go for fun hunt, much less look for an Anaconda, ok maybe we'll go for a boar hunt for a BBQ.

Nice share @foles09 :P

P.S. Tell the truth now, the last guy at the back looks like he found the anaconda, did you guys do a head count when you got back on the canoe?

Haha the guy at the back was actually our guide..he was wasted on whisky and had a gun..not ideal

😂 😂 😂 that's hilarious. On the other hand, I don't think I'd ever look for an anaconda, screwww that

Did you manage to introduce some locals to the aussie anaconda?

More of a trouser snake in my case
