Travel Australia - Robertson, NSW

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

This day we traveled to Robertson, which is south west of Sydney. We tried to go to Carrington Falls, thinking that there will be falls as the name suggests but sadly we couldn't find out because the road was closed. Had to turn back and think of what to do next.

Robertson Pie Shop

By that time we were quite hungry. A few minutes drive down the road is a pie shop called Robertson Pie Shop. I used to go for rides with friends through the Royal National Park and this was always our lunch stop.

It is visited frequently by riders as well as both locals and tourists. When going to new places, always ask where locals go to eat. They will always be right on the money or in this case, food.

Robertson Cheese Factory

Had our feed of pie and some take away for the drive home. On the way home we stopped by a shop called the Robertson Cheese Factory, because the building really looked interesting. You wouldn't miss it when you drive past.

Just outside the entrance are some lavender plants with lots of bees as my partner funnily found out. Her reaction was gold, watch at 3:55 in the video. Inside was a shop selling cheeses, souvenirs, kitchen utensils, ice creams, nuts, varieties of stuff. Next to it, also in the same building, is a cafe.

It's a nice place to relax and enjoy some cake. Didn't order cake but she ordered soup with just cappuccino for me as I was still full from the pie I ate.

Robertson is a large village in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire. The town is located on the edge of an elevated plateau about 35 km from the coast.

There are lots of lookouts to view Australia's amazing landscapes and waterfalls. You might even want to spend the night here and stay at the famous Robertson Hotel which was first established in 1924.

Yum! :D

Hey, good to see you back! Ahahah I thought you got lost in the wilderness or something.. LOL...

In a way I did. That one day I sure felt like it. 18 hours is a long time :P

Wow you were lost for 18 hours in the wild? If it was lost in the wild, I'd probably die as I would not know crap about surviving. Again, good to see you back and looking forward to your stories.
