Hitchhiking in Dombay. Day 8 by @fourapril Part 2

Attention: There are a lot of mistakes in the text, because I do not know English well. I'm sorry =)

After making a couple of photos, we went looking for a way up. Transfer to the 4 level (2700 approximately) was only a chairlift, ie it is an aluminum seat with a pipe mount. Canned fear, sat down, drove off. A little annoying that the lift needs to jump on the move and immediately lower the mounts, damn it, I'm already scared, and something else needs to be done.

image.png

In the photo it seems as if they are going quite low, in fact, 8-10 meters from the ground, and somewhere higher.
At level 4, we decided to make a little breather before the next rise.

Somewhere down there Dombay.

At this altitude there is an original cafe, now idle, in the form of a flying saucer. Unfavorable apparently.

Made some photos

Right here in the rocks there were bushes of mountain raspberries and some strange berry.

The next climb is the longest and the top is already cool, so we put on warm clothes.
It was the longest and most terrible ascent. But at that time I did not imagine how much worse it would be to go down: D
At 3012m there were completely different landscapes. Those mountains, which I looked up from the valley, were now at our level.

Toilet at an altitude above 3000 meters :)

The last climb to 3200m remained, there already were four-seat benches. They moved much more slowly than the past, which allowed us to completely blow us an icy wind to the bones.

Hooray! And here we are at 3200m, the views from here fascinate.

At this altitude, a strong cold wind blew and snow lay on the non-sunny side. We decided to go down to the snow, and then raise it to a higher point, you can see it in the photo.

The usual snow, very dense and cold of course :D

Then the plan was to rise higher, but in the middle of the road I began to feel the entire height, it's like a sixth sense. I was scared, just plain fear, I realized that I would not go any further.

The way back turned out to be worse and more beautiful, of course, all this incredible picture is facing you all the descent.

In the valley they descended already in new booths, from sin. In Dombai bought a pair of magnets, local mountain tea.
We returned to the cafe for backpacks, and there was a crowd of people, we had to wait about 20 minutes for the hutch, but they were worth it)

Before leaving the city, we got there in 20 minutes, another 10 were already traveling with the local huntsman, who took out garbage from the gorge, while in the front seat o_O
He drove us straight to Lake Kara-Köl. We tried the local beer and lemonade, and then at midnight we listened to how the local guys are walking on that side of the lake, and they were walking very loudly.

In advance I apologize for the mistakes, it is very unusual to make posts from the phone.

Hey @fourapril, thank you for taking to such a height, I believe for you to be there is was real adrenaline shower, especially when you take that cabin then everything goes much faster then when you walk, where you can adopt slowly and may not noticed so quick change. I am wondering did you feel the lack of oxygen on such height, I know some people complain that this is really noticeable. That "flying UFO" shape construction really funny, I would say if aliens would visit us, may be the high altitude would be really the right place because there are not many people there and they can have a good view too. Must be really delicious to have some tea and that nice bread, looks hand baked :)

3200 is not too much height, I did not particularly feel the lack of air, but it was cold)
Thank you so much for your comment, you make my day :)

Hello, fourapril Excellent shots of this lovely landscape by cable car. Attractive photos of mountain raspberries and berries. Imposing views from above and the beautiful landscape of clouds and intensely blue sky. How imprecionante the snow is so beautiful that I fall in love with its white color.
Thank you. Have a great day.

Many thanks) I tried the usual raspberries, but I was afraid of the second berries: D

Hi @fourapril.Your shooting can speak thousand words. With the height and gravity, did you experienced short of breath? I love that cafe restaurant, it looks like spaceship. Do you need a tour guide for this mountain trekking? I would be afraid took the four benches, it seems we could fall down anytime :p somemore i am afraid of height. It would be a no no for me to take that. Thank you for walking with us in this travel and posted so many great pictures.

Thx for your feedback)

Hitchhiking is fun but comes with a risk , that's one game I can't play despise the safety precautions. The photos are great , showing how good your camera is. And man, that height is something,

No worries for mistakes Fourapril.
Why 'fourapril' is your username if you don't mind?

And you travel with your partner, only the two of you or any other companions? I guess there were many of you.

No, we only travel in a double)

Oh I see.

Thanks for the reply and spending your precious time replying to my comments.
Have a great day!

What an amazing trip @fourapril! Thank you for sharing your trip and photos with us. It looked very peaceful and quiet. Does it have its peak season? It is a shame that the UFO looking cafe did not work out. It would have been really cool to dine in it. The hutch looks yummy. What is it made of?

Thank you so much!

Khychin - a cake made from thin dough with cottage cheese, pickled cheese or meat stuffing with herbs, a national dish of Karachais and Balkarians. According to their prestige, they were evaluated by Karachais and Balkarians differently, but all of their varieties were very popular among the people. The supreme hospitality of the hostess of the house in the past was considered to be an invitation to "hutchins". This is one of the most honorable dishes in the list of flour dishes of Karachay-Balkar cuisine. Any feast was simply unthinkable without khichin. The meal without kychin is considered poor, especially without the meat of the meat.

Oh wow.. yummm!! Thank you @fourapril! Happy Sunday to you!!
