Secdea Beach Resort is one of the high-class Resort in Samal Island. It has 56 hectares land area located at San Isidro Babak. There are many things to do in the Resort such as Snorkeling, Kayaking, Banana Boat Ride and Jet Ski. The beach resort is one of the most recommended resort to stay overnight. What about day-tour tripping? Worry not, SECDEA offers day tour trip for only 1000php that comes with a sumptuous buffet lunch, free use of the pool, mangrove walk and tour around the resort. This is just a 2-minute walk from a 56-hectare beach that has white sand and clear blue shallow water. If you think that this beauty is well-suited for a group of friends or couples, well, let me tell you that this is actually one of the best places for families to stay at as well. It may not get the same attention like other parts of the Philippines, but once you have seen some of its beaches, I think you too will fall in love with Samal’s charms.

In the summer months particularly, when the weather is good, it looks stunning.

I love the tranquillity of the place, a wonderful place to laze by a beautiful beach while enjoying some of the finer things in life. Saviour a relaxing cocktail (at happy hour) sit back and enjoy an amazing tropical sunset. Their infinity pool is an option if you don’t want to swim in the sea. Its also a beautiful location for photo shoots. But the white sand and the blue sea is inviting and welcoming. Fresh water or sea water, both are relaxing.

Oh I so loved the panoramic vista infront of me. It seemed endless and very therapeutic. I loved the cabana and the open cottages scattered all over the place. And of course, the mangrove area. They put up a wooden bridge so people can walk around or enjoy wading their feet in sea water. And at the same time, see the fishes and other creatures lurking/growing in the mangroves. Just the thought of that is amazing right? Imagine, doing so!

The colors of the waters just blow me away.

One of the most recommended things to do while in SECDEA is the Mangrove Walk. It features wooden and concrete bridges perfect to stroll around the mangrove mini-forest. Inside the area is a mangrove nursery where Patapat and Bakhaw are grown.

How To Get There:

Getting there is very easy.If you are from Davao City, go straight to Sasa Wharf and catch the 24 hour ferry to Samal Island. Then take a habal habal (motorcycle) and ask the driver to drop you off at Secdea Beach Resort. Fare should cost you Php75 with an estimated time travel of 20 - 30 minutes depends on the speed going to the resort.

The Villas:

Secdea takes pride of its picturesque beach setting, floating cottage, multi-sports pavilion, a clubhouse, posh cottages for overnight stay and brilliantly-designed furniture. The price of Secdea’s villas may be quite expensive for some since it can exclusively accommodate a big group of guests but nonetheless, it is all worth it since offers only well-to-do, hotel-resembling accommodation.
