I took it upon myself to try to find work while hunkering down this winter in the Greater Vancouver area. Having no one to depend on but me, this is my only option - COVID or no COVID. For the last week or so I have biked the entire 24KMS round trip to and from the place I am temporarily working at to the RV park I am staying at. Today however, it was pouring rain, so I had to drive my rig to my place of work. At lunch I came out to check my RV and truck, to find this.
The initial photo does not do the damage justice. The truck is a total write off and is un drive able. I am unable to even open the driver door and massive amounts of damage is done to both the body and the internals of the truck. I was able to drive it a few feet, but seeing the radiator fan is a half a foot back from where it should be, it lets out a horrible screech when running and is now leaking all sorts of fluids.
Luckily, people witnessed the accident and took a photo of the truck which caused the damage.
Now I am essentially stranded, I can't move my truck and being out of province only makes matters worse. ICBC is terrible to deal with and only having basic coverage myself, my insurance company refuses to help me.
Having the jacks still being broken - If you remember one of my older posts from a month back does not help the situation seeing I need to get the camper off the truck to be either replaced or fixed, but after talking to two mechanics and a body shop guy, they are all certain it is a write off.
At this point the RV gods are telling me something. I worked and scrounged and saved for 5 years to get on the road debt free and it is all slipping away in an instance, just because I was trying to work during COVID I guess.
Man, I'm really sorry that this happened to you. surely the one who did it will get what he deserves.

What a horror; I just can't believe that someone could do this on purpose. Of course, there is an option that someone could have done it by accident and just disappeared to not pay for repairs. I was told about a similar case by a man I met on vacation in https://jasminebreezerv.com/rates/. There are a lot of guys who have such cars, and I know what it's about. It is very important to have a place where you keep your van because sometimes there are bad people on our way who do mean things to us
