✈️ Fly With Me: Top 3 Things We Like Least In The Flight As A Cabin Crew

To be honest, I am always looking forward to the destinations and I always enjoy the stay at the outports, however, the processes (the journey) sometimes are bit painful - I am talking about something about the service we like least. Just sharing not complaining, okay?I like my job :D

1: Cleaning the lavatory

Sometimes I really don't understand why the lavatories can be that stinky and they smell so weird. The main reason is the smell actually is from the toilet bowl and the tank which isn't cleaned thoroughly for ages. We don't expect the lavatories should be so clean and so dry all the time, but don't understand why some passengers can't use it properly. (I think you guys will understand). For safety reason, we have to check lavatories every 45 mins after service and dry the lavatories' floor by hand from time to time. I just hope passengers can take care of their own shxt, be more considerate and think about us or next passenger who need to use...

2: Going inside the cockpit

FYI, most of the cockpit crews are very nice and they treat cabin crews very nicely. However, when one of the cockpit crews needs toilet break, one cabin crew needs to go inside there replace his position ( according to US law). Every time when we stay there, there is always dead air or having this kind of conversation :

Pilot: Hey, how are you? (He doesn't know my name that's for sure.)
Me: I am great. How about you?
Pilot : Good. How's the service and the passengers?
Me: Not too bad.
Pilot : ...That's good! ... (silence...)
After 5 - 10mins, the cockpit crew comes back.
Me : Do you guys need something?
Both of them : No thanks. (...Then I leave.)

If there is different cockpit crew stay inside, the conversation will repeat again. Imagine it's a long flight with four pilots...

3. Doing cup noodles service

Cup noodles are only served in the long haul flight and 100% are uplifted for all passengers. I know there are not many airlines having this snack service, maybe just Asian airlines. Asian loves cup noodles sooo much. We, as a cabin crew, always want the first passenger who order cup noodles as late as he/she can :P Once it starts, the service can last till next meal service. The smell spreads in the whole plane in no time. Somehow the smell is quite disturbing... Since I started flying, I never eat cup noodles again...

No matter how much I don't like these I mentioned, I still love my job! Hope these little stories can bring you smile :D
Have a great day my friends!

Cheers,
Gladys

I didn't knew this before that you have to replace the seat of a pilot! Maybe you should start another conversation. You can ask them, if anybody wanna have this smelling cup noodles 😂

Have a safe flight @gladysmak!
