Castles, fortresses, palaces, Forts, all have fascinated history over time regardless of their time of construction. Some of them are still on their feet, others are ruins, times have been restored, as is the case of the Castle Cantacuzino in Busteni (Romania). Regardless of which was the purpose of their construction, defensively, opulence, pride, envy or pleasure, they have a special charm, in so far as benefits from a great positioning whenever a charming natural environment. If it were possible I would do a tour of all the Castles of the world, and I live one day in each, where it might be, to enter into the atmosphere and spirit in which they were tall.

The castle was raised at the request of prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, (born 22 September 1832, Bucharest, d. March 23, 1913, Bucharest), one of the richest men of the time, who has been twice the mayor of Bucharest and twice the prime minister of Romania. The prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino was nicknamed "Nabab". He was the biggest owner of lands in Romania at that time and be able to compete with King Carol I, so he had that wealth and social position and that name, through progeny.

Beyond legends related to the personality Nabab, like any castle, about which comply with the palace flows and the stories with ghosts and spirits. They have connection with the mysterious cave in front of the castle. The garden at the foot of the palace was arranged after the fashion of the big parks European capitals, with alleys, shrubs rare and artesian fountain. But what captures the attention is the mysterious cave in front of the castle, without connection to the sleek and drawn up the garden. About cave, residents of Busteni tell you that there are still on the field before the construction of the castle, and the owners have kept it as it was, without working on nice shaped element of nature.
