Well how about that! Normally these things take place ages away from where I live and there is almost no chance I can attend them. However, I was delighted to find out that this year's Steemfest will be taking place in none other than the capital of Thailand.

I have never actually been to one of these events and to be honest, due to time and visa constraintsI likely wouldn't be able to travel to go to one of them. However, if you can make it to this one, you will have a chance to meet me because that would be awesome, right? (JK)
The events take place on 6/7/8/9/10 November 2019 in Bangkok, which is a crazy city for people that have never been to this country before. It is home to more than 10 million people and is very busy yet somehow is quite manageable. Speaking Thai is not necessary at all since this country (and specifically Bangkok) caters to English speakers immensely.

I would recommend planning your stay for multiple weeks because there are tons of amazing things to see in this country including some pretty epic beaches, particularly if you live somewhere that isn't tropical. The allure is kind of lost on me after more than a decade of living here, but I do remember how amazed I was years ago when I first arrived at the crystal-clear blue seas for the first time nearly 20 years ago. I was sold from that point forward and eventually moved here.

While the cost of doing stuff in Thailand has gone up a LOT in the past 20 years, it is still very inexpensive depending on what you consider that word to mean. I know a couple of my followers have commented about how $100 is the standard cost for a hotel in their home countries: Wait till you see what $100 will get you here!
Anyway, i can barely contain my enthusiasm that this is actually happening and seriously consider coming if you can. Right now round trip flights to from USA are as low as $500 (which yes, I understand is still a lot of money to most people) and I would imagine even cheaper if you are a bit closer than the other side of the planet.

Haha, yeah I am nearly broke even on on there. I am currently -19 Steem.. I'm playing for the tokens/dividends mostly.
Honestly, if it weren't for that I wouldn't play. I've been trying to get to 'break even' and stop. Today I'm second place, so in about 3 minutes from this writing I'll get an additional 1,050,000.0 MAGIC tokens! That is enough for me to retire from the game. LOL.. Unless someone sneaks up on me in the next couple of minutes and takes my prize. Otherwise, I'm done and will wait out the dividends to bring me back to zero and then a profit.

Ah sweet dude! That’s awesome. If I’m about I will come along for sure! However I might be in New Zealand then... I doubt a Steemfest will ever come there haha! Talking of NZ and your $100 comment, in NZ I’m looking at paying about $300 a week for rent! It’s so expensive. I was paying way less than that a month in Thailand!

I am happy for you that it is doable and close by. I have no idea yet as my business must come first and knowing November it is probably one of the most important months of the year for me. Not too concerned missing this one as I will come visit that side soon enough and hit @gooddreams recommendations. We will see, but I am not holding my breath for this year.

It depends on what you are into. This country has a wide range of stuff to do although I would say that mostly it is well known for the beach areas and there are plenty of them!

Thank you. Unfortunately I have small expirience with Tai. And for me always interesting to know about sightseeing places from local citizens than from somewhere else. And I prefer not only rest at beach but also visit some cultural places.

It was definitely going to be going to Thailand I had predicted this earlier really after the massive success of Krakow really I definitely think Thailand will be a blast for steemfest 4 really, I know how thrilled you are really I don't know if you've ever been to steemfest but lucky you, looks like this time I'll be looking forward to seeing the man in picture behind these amazing posts.
