A picture is worth a thousand words

I’m finally back to Brussels after four long days between Cairo and Alexandria in Egypt, something catches my attention during our car trip.

A picture which can reflect the current critical social and financial situation in Egypt, the local currency is losing value since 2011 (approx. 20x), the salaries remain the same and life is becoming expensive for a big part of the population.

I met very handsome and honest people trying to fight back the injustice and find their path in this difficult time, we usually say "A picture is worth a thousand words" this is the case with this picture and I will explain why in few sentences:

• I don’t know if you already know it but in Egypt it is legal to marry up to four women’s, it is a standard there and that why you will see often old men’s with young women’s and young babies.
• The safety situation on the bike is very critical for all three but especially the young kid is exposed to a very dangerous situation.
• Last but not least, if you zoom in you will see the smile on the old men’s face, this means that somehow there is an equilibrium who keeps people smiling even in the most dangerous and poor situation!

Always keep smiling, and be happy, life is too short to complain.
