Not only sea!
The Plitvice Lakes National Park is halfway between Zagreb, the capital of Croatia and Zara in Dalmatia, and consists of 16 lakes fed by the Rijeka and Crna Rijeka rivers (White River and Black River) and underground springs, linked by a series of waterfalls that flow into the river Korana.
In 1979 they were proclaimed World Heritage by UNESCO and can be easily visited thanks to a well-marked network of trails and 18 km of wooden walkways that give the waterway a unique charm.
The park is 215km from Trieste and the entrance ticket (which includes all transport - electric boats, trains - within the park) costs about 55kn in low season and 180kn in high season with a discount for 7-18 year old (35%) and free entry for children under 7 years.
The best time to visit the lakes is definitely May / June when the lakes are full of water and trees and flowers in full bloom ...

Must have been a broadcast error... What I originally said was: This place is on my bucket list to visit. One of the most beautiful places on earth.
