This was the actual first day of the concert, Day 1 was just the pool party. Lots of bands there though too.
Now this is an excellent line-up. Day 2 was better than day one in my opinion, might have even been the best day. I didn't know many of the bands that actually played, but I knew Boris and High on Fire which were enough to be excited about. If anything check out the Boris video, they're amazing!
The Line-Up for Day 2
It was impossible to get footage of all of them, but here is the full line-up. Remember in the Hard Rock in Vegas there are actually three venues for music. So there is always something going on!
DVNE
From Edinburgh, United Kindom, DVNE (pronounced Dune, Latin V) began in 2013 and is a progressive metal band. Another great show with slow melodic music.
S U R V I V E
Saw these guys in the elevator, we didn't recognize them at all. Haha. My friend Sean said "Those guys were really good" and he said "Thanks. Haha." We were like oh shit. Lol. Anyways, they are well know for the creation of the music in Stranger Things and will probably get a lot of more jobs in the film industry. A pleasure to see live! Formed in Austin, Texas in 2009.
Church of Misery
Unfortunately didn't get a video of Church of Misery, also a great band, so apparently too good to stop and record. They get a gif instead! Doom metal band created in 1995 by Tatsu Mikami. I got the logo on the pyramid above from the big screens, not their website... As I did for a few others including DVNE.
Tinariwen
These guys are OLD School. Dating back to 1979 from Mali! They are a Grammy Award winning group known as Tuareg musicians. Very cool to see. They threw a great show! Took a selfie with them in the back. Haha.
The Tuareg people are a large Berber ethnic confederation. They principally inhabit the Sahara in a vast area stretching from far southwestern Libya to southern Algeria, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso. Traditionally nomadic pastoralists, small groups of Tuareg are also found in northern Nigeria. - Wikipedia
Boris
I can't help but laugh at what YouTube picked for the cover of this one. The drummer being ridiculous as usual. He is an amazing showman if you watch his face in the background. Loved them. They have been together since 1992 and are still kicking it in what is called a Japanese Experimental Band, but I would call them more of heavy doom metal or or psychedelic rock.
High on Fire
High on Fire has been around since 1998 from Oakland, California. They are classified as a heavy metal/stoner metal band and are revered very highly in the metal community. Awesome headliner for the night!
Disastroid
Created in 2007, Disastroid is a 90's sludge metal band from San Francisco. I'm so glad that all of these guys were invited to Psycho. Really made the trip worthwhile!
Night Horse
This is a 5 piece band that started in 2008 with influences like Motörhead, Alice Cooper, and Van Halen. I am glad I got the intermission, love to hear what they have to say. Had a great time at this one!
Homewrecker
From Ohio, this band started in 2008. Known for loving the hardcore metal type music and "all things metal". Haha. Sounds like it I'd say! Mind blowing music!
Temple of Void
This video starts with them finishing set-up and starting their first song of the night. They started in 2013 in Detroit, Michigan, and play Doom/Death Metal.
Yakuza
Gotta love the saxophone mixed with metal. Haha. This was a treat too. I took a lot of pictures and clips! They got together in Chicago, 1999. It's been a while for these guys as well. They play what is known as Jazzcore or Avant-garde metal.
Aseethe
A doom metal band from Iowa City, ironically this is where my fraternities HQ is, formed in 2007. Very good band. T-shirt + jeans = uniform. Haha.
