So basically I'm from India and I would like to share some interesting facts about my country with you guys.
1)India don’t have any official national game : Nor hockey neither chess , Once centre said that India has no National game.
2)In India , at some places , mens demand gender equality : There are places in India where man moves to his in law’s house after marriage . Example- Khasi and Matrilineal muslims in Minicoy and Lakshadweep .
3)The gathering at Kumbh mela is this large that it can be visible from space : Here’s a picture of it -
- Until 1986 , Diamonds were only found in India
5)First ever University in world was in India : Takshila in Gandhar was started around 700 BC .
Indian railway employs around 1.3 M peoples : This number is even greater than population of some Nations .
Highest cricket pitch in world is in India : i.e. Chail in Himachal Pradesh . It is located at the elevation of 2444 meters .
World’s biggest family lives in India : 1 man , 39 wives , 94 children and 33 grandchildren . They live in Baktwang village in Indian state of Mizoram
In India one women dies every hour for dowry .
10)Village of twins : Kodinhi is a village in Malappuram district in Kerala, India
